Way-easy Lasagna Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2tablespoonsolive oil
  2. 3lbsground beef(a combination of 2 lbs ground beef and 1 lb ground pork is really good!)
  3. 1mediumonion, minced
  4. 3clovesgarlic, minced
  5. 2teaspoonsitalian seasoning
  6. 1teaspoonoregano
  7. 1 1/2teaspoonssugar
  8. 1/2teaspooncinnamon
  9. 2 (8 ounce)canstomato sauce
  10. 2tablespoonstomato paste
  11. 1lbricotta cheeseor cottage cheese
  12. 2eggs, beaten
  13. 1teaspoonsalt
  14. 1teaspoonbasil
  15. 1/2teaspoonpepper
  16. 2tablespoonsparsley, minced
  17. 3/4cup freshly-gratedparmesan cheese
  18. 10-12lasagna noodles(I use no-boil)
  19. 6cups shreddedmozzarella cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. In large skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef until well-browned.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook 5 minutes longer.
  3. Mix in Italian seasoning, sugar, oregano, cinnamon, tomato sauce and tomato paste.
  4. Simmer for 45 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  6. Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, basil, pepper, parsley and Parmesan cheese together.
  7. Set aside.
  8. In a greased 9×13-inch pan, layer noodles, 1/3 of cheese mixture, 1/3 of meat mixture and 2 cups mozzarella cheese.
  9. Repeat layering 2 more times.
  10. Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake 10-15 minutes longer.
  12. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting into pieces.
  13. Enjoy!
