Way-easy Lasagna Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2tablespoonsolive oil
- 3lbsground beef(a combination of 2 lbs ground beef and 1 lb ground pork is really good!)
- 1mediumonion, minced
- 3clovesgarlic, minced
- 2teaspoonsitalian seasoning
- 1teaspoonoregano
- 1 1/2teaspoonssugar
- 1/2teaspooncinnamon
- 2 (8 ounce)canstomato sauce
- 2tablespoonstomato paste
- 1lbricotta cheeseor cottage cheese
- 2eggs, beaten
- 1teaspoonsalt
- 1teaspoonbasil
- 1/2teaspoonpepper
- 2tablespoonsparsley, minced
- 3/4cup freshly-gratedparmesan cheese
- 10-12lasagna noodles(I use no-boil)
- 6cups shreddedmozzarella cheese
DIRECTIONS
- In large skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef until well-browned.
- Add onion and garlic and cook 5 minutes longer.
- Mix in Italian seasoning, sugar, oregano, cinnamon, tomato sauce and tomato paste.
- Simmer for 45 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, basil, pepper, parsley and Parmesan cheese together.
- Set aside.
- In a greased 9×13-inch pan, layer noodles, 1/3 of cheese mixture, 1/3 of meat mixture and 2 cups mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layering 2 more times.
- Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake 10-15 minutes longer.
- Let stand 15 minutes before cutting into pieces.
