Vietnamese Pork and Scallion Lettuce Wraps Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbboneless pork loin, cut into strips
  2. 1/4cupsoy sauce
  3. 2tablespoonshoney
  4. 1teaspoonpepper
  5. 3scallions
  6. 3/4tablespoonsesame oil
  7. 2clovesgarlic, minced
  8. 1inchginger, peeled and minced
  9. 1cupcooked rice or cookedjasmine rice(I prefer jasmine)
  10. 3tablespoonsorange marmalade
  11. 3tablespoonsrice vinegar
  12. lettuceor butter lettuce or red leaf lettuce, washed(I prefer butter or red leaf)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place meat strips in plastic zipper bag.
  2. In food processor, blend soy sauce, honey, pepper, scallions, 3/4 tbsp sesame oil, garlic and ginger.
  3. Pour into bag and marinate meat for several hours.
  4. Take meat out of bag, reserving marinade.
  5. Stir fry meat until done.
  6. Take meat out of pan and cover.
  7. In pan, pour in rest of the marinade and the marmalade and vinegar.
  8. Boil over high heat for 1 minute.
  9. Layer rice, meat, and sauce on lettuce leaf.
  10. Wrap and enjoy!
