Too Good to Be Good for U– Turkey Meatloaf Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. Meatloaf

  2. 1 1/4lbsground turkey breast
  3. 4sliceswhole wheat bread, soaked in
  4. 1/4cupwater
  5. 2egg whites
  6. 1/2largeonion, chopped
  7. 2stalksscallions, medium chopped
  8. 1jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
  9. 1/2red bell pepper, finely chopped
  10. 1smallcarrot, finely chopped
  11. 1/4cupketchup
  12. 1tablespoonseasoning salt(e.g. Lawry’s brand)
  13. 1tablespoon gravy master seasoning andbrowning sauce
  14. 1/4teaspoondried basil
  15. 1/4teaspoondried thyme
  16. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  17. 1/2teaspoonblack pepper
  18. Sauce

  19. 3/4cupketchup
  20. 2tablespoonshoneyor brown sugar
  21. 1 1/2tablespoonsbalsamic vinegaror apple cider vinegar
  22. 1dashTabasco sauce (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the ground turkey, soaked bread and egg whites.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients to the turkey mixture (except those listed for the sauce) and combine with your hands or a mixing spoon.
  3. Bake uncovered in a greased loafpan at approximately 400 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  4. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
  5. Spread sauce on top of meatloaf and bake for an additional 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
