Hot Dogs & Noodles Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (12 ounce)packagemedium egg noodles
  2. 6-8hot dogs
  3. 2tablespoons finely choppedonions
  4. 1tablespoonmargarine
  5. 1 (10 3/4 ounce)cancondensed tomato soup

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook egg noodles as directed on package.
  2. While noodles are cooking, slice hot dogs into 1/4-1/2 inch thick slices.
  3. Brown hot dog slices and onion in melted margarine in large pan.
  4. Add tomato soup and cooked noodles and serve.

Steak Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 one inch thickNew York strip steaks, trimmed of exterior fat
  2. 2tablespoonsoil
  3. 2tablespoons emerilsdry steak seasoning
  4. 1onion, sliced thin
  5. 1/4cupbutter, softened
  6. 2tablespoonsfajita marinade, liquid
  7. 1 (4 1/2 ounce)containerboursin cheese, room temperature
  8. 8 potato coneybuns
  9. 1tablespoonbrown sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. This recipe works best on a grill with a side burner.
  2. Coat beef in oil and season to taste with the Emeril’s Steak Rub.
  3. Grill over medium heat 6-7 minutes per side for medium doneness.
  4. Reduce heat on grill to low.
  5. In a cast iron skillet on the side burner, heat butter over medium heat until melted.
  6. Add onion slices, fajita marinade and the sugar.
  7. Saute until golden brown.Remove from heat.
  8. Transfer steak to cutting board and slice lengthwise into four one-inch strips.
  9. Put one strip in each bun, top with some of the boursin cheese spread and some of the sauteed onions, to taste.
  10. Serve immediately.

Marion’s Michigan Sauce for Hot Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbground beef
  2. 1mediumonion
  3. 3tablespoonsbrown sugar
  4. 3tablespoonsapple cider vinegar
  5. 4tablespoonschili powder
  6. 1tablespoonyellow mustard
  7. 1 (8 ounce)cantomato sauce
  8. 1cupwater
  9. 1teaspoongarlic powder
  10. 1teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
  11. 1teaspoonsalt
  12. 1teaspoonpepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Finely chop onions and saute in a little olive oil until tender.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.Separate meat so it is broken into very fine pieces of meat.
  3. Add rest of ingredients, mix, and cook over low heat on the stove 1 hour or more.
  4. This could be cooked in a crockpot on low for six hours.
  5. Serve as a topping on hot dogs.

Varsity Chili for Hot Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4lbslean ground beef
  2. 1/2onion, chopped fine
  3. 1-2teaspoonsalt
  4. 2tablespoonsground cumin
  5. 6tablespoonschili powder
  6. 2cupswater
  7. 1 (1 1/4 ounce)packagechili seasoning mix

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet and drain fat.
  2. Add all ingredients and combine in crockpot, stirring to mix thoroughly.
  3. Cook on high for 2 hours.
  4. Stir well, reduce heat to LOW and continue cooking for 6-8 more hours.
  5. Enjoy!

Hors’ D’ogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/4cupcheddar cheese, grated
  2. 1/2teaspoonbrewer’s yeast
  3. 2tablespoonsvegetable shortening
  4. 1/4cupswiss cheese, grated
  5. 1/2cuprolled oats, toasted

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine cheeses, brewer’s yeast and shortening.
  2. Using plastic wrap, shape mixture into a log about 1″ in diameter and 8″ long.
  3. Roll log in toasted oatmeal.
  4. Slice into 1/2″ rounds and serve.
