INGREDIENTS
- 1lbground beef
- 6hotdog buns
- barbecue sauce, for brushing on hot dogs
- salt
- pepper
- butter or margarine, for buttering the buns
- mustard (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Mix the ground beef with a light dusting of salt and pepper, and divide it into 6 parts.
- Roll each part into a hot dog shape.
- Cook outside on the grill or inside in a frying pan.
- Brush with barbecue sauce while cooking.
- Butter the hot dog buns and put a burger dog into each one.
- Serve with the hamburger and hot dog fixins of your choice.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/4teaspoonsdry yeast or1 tablespoon compressedfresh yeast
- 1/4cupwarm water
- 1pinchsugar
- 3 1/2cupsall-purpose flour
- 2cupswhole wheat flour
- 2cupscracked wheat

Alternate
- 1cupcornmeal
- 1cuprye flour
- 1/2cupnonfat dry milk powder(lightly spooned into the cup)
- 4teaspoonskelp powder
- 4cupsbeefor chicken broth(liquid measure)

Glaze
- 1largeegg
- 2tablespoonsmilk
DIRECTIONS
- Place 2 oven racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven.
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Sprinkle the dry yeast or crumble the compressed yeast over the water (110F if dry yeast, 100F if compressed yeast).
- Add a pinch of sugar and allow the yeast to sit in a draft-free spot for 10-20 minutes.
- The mixture should be full of bubbles.
- If not, the yeast is too old to be useful.
- In a large bowl, place all the dry ingredients and stir to blend them.
- Add the yeast mixture and 3 cups of the broth.
- Using your hands, in the bowl, mix to form the dough, adding more broth if needed to make the dough smooth and supple.
- Half a batch at a time, knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured counter; Keep the second batch of dough covered with a moist towel while shaping and cutting the first.
- Roll out the dough into an 18 x 13 x 1/4″ rectangle.
- Cut it into desired shapes, using a 3- 3 1/2-inch bone cutter or a 2 1/2-inch round cookie cutter.
- Reroll the scraps.
- Repeat the procedure with the remaining dough.
- For an attractive shine, lightly beat together the egg and milk.
- Brush the glaze on the cookies.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until brown and firm.
- For even baking, rotate the cookie sheets from top to bottom three quarters of the way through the baking period.
- Use a small, angled metal spatula or pancake turner to transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
- Allow cookie sheets to cool completely between batches.

- 1 (1 lb)bagfrozen peppers and onions
- 1 (8 count)packagehotdog buns
DIRECTIONS
- Place Smokies and Stir-Fry Mix in a skillet.
- Cook on medium heat until meat is fully cooked and veggies are tender.
- Serve on Hot Dog Buns.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2teaspoonsolive oil
- 1mediumonion, sliced thin and chopped
- 4cupswater
- 2tablespoonstomato paste
- 2teaspoonscorn syrup
- 1teaspooncornstarch
- 1/2teaspoonsalt
- 1/4teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4cupvinegar
DIRECTIONS
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Sauté the onion in the oil for 5 minutes, or until the onions are soft, but not brown.
- Add the water, tomato paste, corn syrup, cornstarch, salt, and red pepper flakes, and stir together.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Add the vinegar and continue simmering for an additiona1 30-45 minutes, or until most of the liquid is reduced and the sauce is thickened.
- Makes about 1 cup.

INGREDIENTS
- 4ouncesspaghetti, cooked
- 1packagehot dogs, cut into thin slices
- 1/2cup choppedgreen peppers
- 2tablespoonsbutter
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce)cancream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1smalltomato, chopped
- 1/4cupwater
- 1/4teaspoonground thyme
- 1/4cupparmesan cheese
- 1/4cupmonterey jack cheese, shredded
DIRECTIONS
- Saute hotdogs and green pepper in butter in a large skillet for 5 mins or until pepper is tender.
- Stir in next 4 ingredients.
- Cook over medium heat for 5 mins.
- Add spaghetti and mix well.
- Mix cheeses and sprinkle over spaghetti.
- Put under broiler until cheese is melted.
