Favorite Corn Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3/4cupself-rising flour
  2. 1/4cupself-rising cornmeal
  3. 2tablespoons mincedonions
  4. 1tablespoonsugar
  5. 1teaspoondry mustard
  6. 1/2cupmilk
  7. 1egg, beaten
  8. 1lbhot dogs

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine flour, onion, sugar , cornmeal and mustard.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Combine milk and egg.
  4. Add to dry ingredients, stirring well; set aside.
  5. Wipe each wiener dry.
  6. Insert a wooden stick into one end.
  7. Dip wiener in batter.
  8. Fry in deep, hot oil ( 375°-400°), for 2 to 3 minutes, or until brown, turning once.
  9. Drain well on paper towels.
  10. Repeat with the remaining wieners.
  11. Total time is for all the wieners.

Meat Sauce for Hot Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2lbground beef
  2. 1/4cupwater
  3. 1/4cup choppedonions
  4. 1garlic clove, minced
  5. 1 (8 ounce)can seasonedtomato sauce
  6. 1/2-3/4teaspoonchili powder
  7. 1/2teaspoonsalt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brown beef slowly but thoroughly, breaking with a fork until fine.
  2. Add remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 10 minutes.Makes sauce for about 12 coney dogs.

Gingerbread "men" for Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupswhole wheat flour
  2. 1/2teaspoonginger
  3. 1/2teaspoonnutmeg
  4. 1/2teaspoongarlic powder
  5. 3/4cupold fashioned oats
  6. 2eggs
  7. 1/2cupmolasses
  8. 1/3cupcanola oil
  9. 1/4cupapplesauce

DIRECTIONS

  1. place dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.Whisk till well combined.add eggs, molasses, applesauce and oil.Mix till well blended.place dough on lightly floured counter.sometimes I add a sprinkle of cornmeal — Knead till smooth.roll 1/4″ thick. cut with small gingerbread cutters.and place on sprayed sheet.bake at 325* for 30 minutes.
  2. There is a debate on whether dogs should eat raisins.so I try to avoid them.when these first some out of the oven.I sometimes use peanuts for eye features or carob chips.and let granddaughter paint on them with yogurt coating that has been melted and a small amount of paramount crystals or veg oil has been added to thin.
  3. My dog loves these.

Thanksgiving Turkey Gobblers..for Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1cupground turkey
  2. 2cupswhite flour
  3. 1cupcornmeal
  4. 1egg
  5. 3tablespoonsvegetable oil
  6. 3/4cupwater
  7. 2teaspoonstarragon

DIRECTIONS

  1. preheat oven to 375*.In a frying pan, cook ground turkey, crumble into small pieces and set aside for a paper towel.combine flour, and cornmeal in a large bowl, then in a seperate bowl, beat egg, oil and water, then add tarragon. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well.Fold in ground turkey and mix again.(Turn dough on onto lightly floured surface and knead until thoroughly mixed together.Roll dough out to 1/2″ thick and cut into shapes.
  2. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or till firm.cool and serve.Keep any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerrator.

Bacon Chili Burrito Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 112-inch flour tortilla
  2. 2 steamed premiumbeef hot dogs
  3. 2slicesAmerican cheese
  4. 1/3cupchili
  5. 3slices crispybacon
  6. 2tablespoons dicedonions

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients on a flour tortilla in the order listed.
  2. Begin rolling-up tightly, folding top and bottom in and over the ingredients to form a sealed envelope.
