Beefy Burger Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbground beef
  2. 6hotdog buns
  3. barbecue sauce, for brushing on hot dogs
  4. salt
  5. pepper
  6. butter or margarine, for buttering the buns
  7. mustard (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix the ground beef with a light dusting of salt and pepper, and divide it into 6 parts.
  2. Roll each part into a hot dog shape.
  3. Cook outside on the grill or inside in a frying pan.
  4. Brush with barbecue sauce while cooking.
  5. Butter the hot dog buns and put a burger dog into each one.
  6. Serve with the hamburger and hot dog fixins of your choice.

Bone-A-Fidos – Canine Cookies for Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 1/4teaspoonsdry yeast or1 tablespoon compressedfresh yeast
  2. 1/4cupwarm water
  3. 1pinchsugar
  4. 3 1/2cupsall-purpose flour
  5. 2cupswhole wheat flour
  6. 2cupscracked wheat
  7. Alternate

  8. 1cupcornmeal
  9. 1cuprye flour
  10. 1/2cupnonfat dry milk powder(lightly spooned into the cup)
  11. 4teaspoonskelp powder
  12. 4cupsbeefor chicken broth(liquid measure)
  13. Glaze

  14. 1largeegg
  15. 2tablespoonsmilk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place 2 oven racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven.
  2. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yeast or crumble the compressed yeast over the water (110F if dry yeast, 100F if compressed yeast).
  4. Add a pinch of sugar and allow the yeast to sit in a draft-free spot for 10-20 minutes.
  5. The mixture should be full of bubbles.
  6. If not, the yeast is too old to be useful.
  7. In a large bowl, place all the dry ingredients and stir to blend them.
  8. Add the yeast mixture and 3 cups of the broth.
  9. Using your hands, in the bowl, mix to form the dough, adding more broth if needed to make the dough smooth and supple.
  10. Half a batch at a time, knead the dough briefly on a lightly floured counter; Keep the second batch of dough covered with a moist towel while shaping and cutting the first.
  11. Roll out the dough into an 18 x 13 x 1/4″ rectangle.
  12. Cut it into desired shapes, using a 3- 3 1/2-inch bone cutter or a 2 1/2-inch round cookie cutter.
  13. Reroll the scraps.
  14. Repeat the procedure with the remaining dough.
  15. For an attractive shine, lightly beat together the egg and milk.
  16. Brush the glaze on the cookies.
  17. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until brown and firm.
  18. For even baking, rotate the cookie sheets from top to bottom three quarters of the way through the baking period.
  19. Use a small, angled metal spatula or pancake turner to transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
  20. Allow cookie sheets to cool completely between batches.

  2. 1 (1 lb)bagfrozen peppers and onions
  3. 1 (8 count)packagehotdog buns

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place Smokies and Stir-Fry Mix in a skillet.
  2. Cook on medium heat until meat is fully cooked and veggies are tender.
  3. Serve on Hot Dog Buns.

Sabrett’s Onion Sauce for Hot Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2teaspoonsolive oil
  2. 1mediumonion, sliced thin and chopped
  3. 4cupswater
  4. 2tablespoonstomato paste
  5. 2teaspoonscorn syrup
  6. 1teaspooncornstarch
  7. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  8. 1/4teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
  9. 1/4cupvinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the onion in the oil for 5 minutes, or until the onions are soft, but not brown.
  3. Add the water, tomato paste, corn syrup, cornstarch, salt, and red pepper flakes, and stir together.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes.
  5. Add the vinegar and continue simmering for an additiona1 30-45 minutes, or until most of the liquid is reduced and the sauce is thickened.
  6. Makes about 1 cup.

Spaghetti Dogs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4ouncesspaghetti, cooked
  2. 1packagehot dogs, cut into thin slices
  3. 1/2cup choppedgreen peppers
  4. 2tablespoonsbutter
  5. 1 (10 1/2 ounce)cancream of chicken soup, undiluted
  6. 1smalltomato, chopped
  7. 1/4cupwater
  8. 1/4teaspoonground thyme
  9. 1/4cupparmesan cheese
  10. 1/4cupmonterey jack cheese, shredded

DIRECTIONS

  1. Saute hotdogs and green pepper in butter in a large skillet for 5 mins or until pepper is tender.
  2. Stir in next 4 ingredients.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 5 mins.
  4. Add spaghetti and mix well.
  5. Mix cheeses and sprinkle over spaghetti.
  6. Put under broiler until cheese is melted.
