Cherry Ripe Crackles Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/4cupdesiccated coconut
  2. 3cupsrice bubbles
  3. 1/4cupglace cherries, chopped
  4. 110gdark chocolate chips(2×55 gram Cherry Ripe Chocolate Bars)
  5. 1tablespoonmargarine
  6. 2tablespoonsgolden syrup
  7. 1teaspooncoconut essence

DIRECTIONS

  1. Use 24 paper patty cases.
  2. Place coconut onto a sheet of cooking paper and place under the grill (broiler), toast until golden brown, be careful as the coconut can burn quickly. Leave to one side.
  3. In a large mixing bowl place rice bubbles, chopped cherries and coconut, fold together.
  4. Roughly chop the Cherry Ripe Chocolate Bars then place in a small microwave-safe bowl with margarine and golden syrup. Melt on high for 2 minutes, give mixture a good stir. Add coconut essence to the bowl.
  5. Pour into rice bubbles and fold together until ingredients are well coated.
  6. Spoon mixture into 24 patty cases. Refrigerate to set.

Cherry Pancake Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/4cupsugar (optional)
  2. 2teaspoonscornstarch
  3. 1/8teaspooncinnamon
  4. 1/2cuporange juice
  5. 2cupssweet cherries, pitted and halved(if using canned cherries, replace o.j. with juice from cherries)
  6. 1teaspoon gratedorange peel

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
  2. Add orange juice, cherries and orange peel.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and boil until thickened.
  4. Serve over warm pancakes or waffles.

Sauteed Green  Beans and Cherry Tomatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2teaspoonsextra-virgin olive oil, divided
  2. 1lbgreen beans, trimmed
  3. 1/2cupwater
  4. 2garlic cloves, minced
  5. 1 1/2cupscherry tomatoes, halved
  6. 1tablespoonbalsamic vinegar
  7. salt & pepper, freshly ground(to taste)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add green beans and cook, stirring often, until seared in spots, 2 to 3 minutes. Add water, cover, reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes for tender-crisp or 6 minutes for tender.
  3. Push the beans to the side; add the remaining 1 teaspoon oil and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add tomatoes, stir everything together and cook until the tomatoes begin to break down, 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in vinegar, salt and pepper.

Cherry Chocolate Kisses Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1cuppowdered sugar
  2. 1cupbutteror margarine, softened
  3. 2teaspoonsmaraschino cherry juice
  4. 1/2teaspoonalmond extract
  5. 3dropsred food coloring
  6. 2 1/4cupsflour
  7. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  8. 1/2cupmaraschino cherries, drained and chopped
  9. 48 chocolateHershey’s chocolate kisses, plain chocolate ones, unwrapped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. In large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry juice, almond extract and food coloring; blend well.
  3. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.Stir in flour and salt; mix well.Stir in cherries.Shape dough into 1 inch balls.Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  5. Immediately top with chocolate kiss.
  6. Remove from cookie sheets.

Cherry Crunch Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3/4cupquick-cooking oats, uncooked
  2. 1/2cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1/2cupbrown sugar, firmly packed
  4. 1/2teaspooncinnamon, ground
  5. 1/3cupbutter, cut into pieces
  6. 21ouncescherry pie filling
  7. 1/2teaspoonalmond extract
  8. Extras

  9. vanilla ice cream

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients.Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  2. Combine pie filling and almond extract in a greased 1 quart baking dish.Sprinkle with crumb mixture.
  3. Microwave, uncovered, at HIGH 6 minutes or until thoroughly heated.Top each serving with ice cream.
