Sweet-And-Sour Beans Roquefort Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 16ounces cannedcut green beans
  2. 2slicesbacon, chopped
  3. 1smallonion, chopped
  4. 2teaspoonssugar
  5. 2tablespoonsvinegar
  6. salt and pepper, to taste
  7. 2tablespoonsStilton cheeseor roquefort blue cheese, crumbled

DIRECTIONS

  1. Drain beans, reserving 2 tablespoons of the liquid per 16 oz can.
  2. Cook bacon and onion until lightly browned.
  3. Add reserved bean liquid, beans, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper; heat thoroughly.
  4. Spoon into serving dish; sprinkle with cheese.
