Squash Vermont Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3acorn squash
  2. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  3. 1/4teaspoonpepper
  4. 6tablespoonsmaple syrup
  5. 12brown and serve sausagesor sausage patties

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut squash in half lengthwise; remove seeds.
  3. Place cut-side down on a cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven; turn squash over.
  6. Salt and pepper.
  7. Place 1 tablespoon syrup and two sausage links/patties in each half.
  8. Return to oven for 10-12 minutes or until sausage is browned.
