Spicy ‘stick to the Ribs’ Bean & Sausage Casserole Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 (1 lb)packages of your favoritebreakfast sausage
  2. 2tablespoonsolive oil
  3. 1largeonion
  4. 1largegreen pepper(some don’t like it)(optional)
  5. 2 (32 ounce)jars randallnavy beans
  6. 2teaspoonsred pepper flakes
  7. black pepper
  8. salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large skillet, brown the sausage just until done.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. In same skillet, add the olive oil and saute the onions and green pepper until soft.
  4. Add the sausage to the onions and green peppers.
  5. Pour the beans in, do not drain.
  6. Add the pepper flake and the black pepper and salt to taste.
  7. Heat until nice and hot.
  8. You may also take the ingredients and put them into a casserole dish or large pot and bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees, if you have time.
  9. Otherwise, the stove top method is quickest.
