Spaghetti With Ground Pork Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1lbground pork
- 1lbItalian sausage
- 1largeonion, chopped
- 1green pepper, chopped
- 2garlic cloves, minced
- 1cupdry wine
- 3 (14 1/2 ounce)cansItalian-style tomatoes, crushed
- 1 (6 ounce)cantomato paste
- 2teaspoonsdried oregano
- 1teaspoonbrown sugar, packed
- 1/2teaspoondried basil
- 1/2teaspoondried thyme
- 2bay leaves
- 1 (12 ounce)bagspaghetti, cooked
DIRECTIONS
- In a large skillet cook meat, onion, gr pepper and garlic until meat is browned.
- Drain and return to skillet.
- Add wine and bring to a boil until it is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in tomatoes with juice, tomato paste, oregano, brown sugar, basil, thyme, and bay leaves.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 1 hour.
- Remove bay leaves and serve over hot spaghetti.
