Shrimp Meuniere Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 8tablespoonsbutter
  2. 1cup finely choppedgreen onions
  3. 1/2cup finely choppedcelery(use inside stalks)
  4. 1/4cup finely choppedfresh parsley
  5. 1/3cup finely choppedgreen peppers
  6. 1tablespoon pureedgarlic
  7. 1teaspoonsalt
  8. 1teaspoonpepper
  9. 1/8teaspooncayenne pepper
  10. 1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
  11. 1tablespooncornstarch
  12. 1/4cupdry white wine
  13. 3lbsraw shrimp, peeled and deveined

DIRECTIONS

  1. In large covered skillet, slowly melt butter over medium-low heat.
  2. Add vegetables, garlic puree’ salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes or until vegetables are soft, stirring occasionally.
  4. Dissolve cornstarch in wine.
  5. Blend mixture into vegetables.
  6. Add shrimp, cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately.
