Schmackhaft German Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6largepotatoes

  3. 4tablespoonsred peppers
  4. 4tablespoonsgarlic salt
  5. 3largecarrots
  6. 1largered onion
  7. 10cupswater
  8. 2tablespoonssalt
  9. 1lbwhite cabbage
  10. Sauce

  11. 1cupbeer
  12. 1cupvodka
  13. 1cupwhite wine
  14. 1cupwater
  15. 1cupmilk
  16. 2tablespoonslemon juice
  17. 2tablespoonsblack pepper
  18. 2tablespoonssalt
  19. 2tablespoonsdill
  20. 2tablespoonscaraway seeds
  21. 2tablespoonsanise seeds
  22. 2tablespoonsdried parsley
  23. 2tablespoonsbasil
  24. 2tablespoonsgarlic powder
  25. 2tablespoonsonion powder
  26. 2tablespoonspaprika
  27. 2tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
  28. 2tablespoonssoy sauce
  29. 2tablespoonscinnamon
  30. 2tablespoonsground ginger
  31. 2tablespoonswhite pepper
  32. 2tablespoonsthyme
  33. 2tablespoonssugar
  34. 2tablespoonscream of tartar
  35. 2tablespoonscornstarch
  36. Fresh Salad

  37. 2lbsromaine lettuce
  38. 1lbgrape tomatoes
  39. 1lbbaby carrots
  40. 3cupscanned corn, drained
  41. 3cupscanned peas, drained
  42. 3cupsfresh green beans

DIRECTIONS

  1. Boil 10 cups of Water with Red Pepper and Garlic Salt added.
  2. Cut Potatoes into 6-8 pieces each.
  3. Add to boiling water.
  4. Meanwhile, boil 10 cups of Water with Salt.
  5. Chop Carrots into thin slices.
  6. Finely chop Red Onion.
  7. Add Carrot and Onion to second pot of boiling water.
  8. When all vegetables are fork tender, drain them thoroughly, but do not rinse.
  9. Finely chop Cabbage.
  10. Mash Potatoes together with the Carrots and Onions.
  11. Gently mix Cabbage into the Potato mixture.
  12. Chill vegetables.
  13. In small saucepan combine beer, vodka, white wine, water, and milk and bring to a boil.
  14. Mix all seasonings in a small bowl.
  15. There are 20 seasonings listed and all are absolutely essential.
  16. Add seasonings to the boiling mixture.
  17. Boil mixture for 5 minutes with seasonings added.
  18. Remove mixture from heat and chill.
  19. When vegetables and sauce are chilled, add sauce to veggies.
  20. Mixture will be pretty runny.
  21. Return to refrigerator.
  22. In a large bowl, combine chopped Lettuce, Tomatoes, chopped Carrots, Corn, Peas, and chopped Green Beans.
  23. Toss fresh veggies with the chilled veggie/sauce mixture.
  24. Serve cold.
