Rhubarb Dump Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 5cups dicedrhubarb(cut into 1/2-inch pieces)
  2. 3/4cupgranulated sugar
  3. 1 (3 ounce)box of eitherraspberry gelatin powderor strawberries
  4. 1 (18 1/2 ounce)boxyellow cake mix(pudding in the mix)
  5. 1/2cupbutter, melted
  6. 1cupwater

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  2. Line the bottom of an ungreased 13×9x2-inch baking pan with the rhubarb.
  3. Sprinkle sugar over the rhubarb.
  4. Sprinkle raspberry (or strawberry) gelatin over the sugar.
  5. Next, sprinkle cake mix over the gelatin.
  6. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Pour the water over the cake mix.
  8. DO NOT STIR!
  9. Bake 45 minutes.
  10. Serve slightly warm and if desired with cool whip or vanilla ice cream.
  11. Note:If using frozen rhubarb, reduce the amount of water to 1/2 cup.
