Pecan Dream Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. Filling

  2. 1 1/2cupspecans, chopped,toasted
  3. 3/4cup packedbrown sugar
  4. 1tablespoonground cinnamon
  5. Cake

  6. 3cupsall-purpose flour
  7. 1tablespoonbaking powder
  8. 1teaspoonbaking soda
  9. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  10. 1cupbutter, room temperature
  11. 1 1/2cupssugar
  12. 1 1/2cupssour cream
  13. 3eggs
  14. 1 1/2teaspoonslemon juice
  15. 2teaspoonsvanilla

DIRECTIONS

  1. For The Filling: In a small bowl combine pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Stir well, and set aside.
  3. For The Cake: Preheat the oven to 350F.
  4. Butter and flour a 10 inch bundt pan.
  5. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Set aside.
  7. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  8. Add the sour cream and mix until incorporated.
  9. Add the eggs, beating after each individual egg addition.
  10. Add lemon juice and vanilla, mix until well incorporated.
  11. Add half of the dry ingredients.
  12. Mix.
  13. Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  14. Pour half the batter into prepared bundt pan.
  15. Distribute filling evenly on top of the batter.
  16. Add the remaining batter.
  17. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
  18. Cool for 10 minutes before inverting.
  19. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
