Peaches in Red Wine Recipe

December 2nd, 2012 by alice  Tags: , , | Print This Post Print This Post

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6 ripepeaches, peeled and sliced
  2. 400mlred wine
  3. 3/4cupsugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel the peaches–to do it easily, boil them for about 10 seconds, then peel off the skin.
  2. Slice them.
  3. Put the peeled, sliced peaches in a bowl, add about half a bottle of red wine to cover.
  4. The type of wine isn’t so important, but it has to be decent and drinkable.
  5. I used a 3 dollar bottle of Cotes du Rhone yesterday.
  6. Pour in the sugar and stir.
  7. Must sit for 6 hours in the fridge, minimum.
  8. Serve in pretty glasses or dishes.
  9. If you feel you need something else to go with it, try some kind of crunchy cookie or macaroon.
