Peach-Ginger Chutney in the Crock Pot Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupsonions, chopped
  2. 4cupsfresh peachesor frozen peaches, chopped, peeled
  3. 1cupgolden raisins
  4. 1cup firmly packedlight brown sugar
  5. 1/4cup choppedcrystallized ginger
  6. 1teaspoonmustard seeds
  7. 1teaspooncinnamon
  8. 1/4teaspooncloves (optional)
  9. 1/4cupflour
  10. 1/4cupcider vinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Saute the onion in skillet, about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the onions and the next 8 ingredients in cooker.
  3. Stir together flour and vinegar, then add to the cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 5 hours, stirring before the last hour.
  5. Remove after finished and immediately transfer to sterilized jars.
  6. (My favorite way to serve: Mix 8 ounces cream cheese and 1 cup cheddar cheese, then divide evenly between 4 chicken breasts, pounded flat. Bake about 20 minutes, then top with chutney and continue baking until chicken is done.).
