Pan Bagnat Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6sandwich buns, crusty mediterranean type preferred
  2. dressing

  3. 2tablespoonswine vinegar
  4. 4tablespoonsolive oil
  5. 1clove crushedgarlic
  6. 1red onion, sliced
  7. 3tomatoes, sliced
  8. 1red bell pepper or green bell pepper, sliced
  9. 1English cucumber, sliced
  10. 1cupcanned tuna
  11. 3hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  12. 1/2cup slicedblack olives
  13. 12fresh basil leaves
  14. anchovy fillets, to taste (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Remove some of the inner part of the rolls to make room for the filling.
  2. Use bottled dressing or mix together wine vinegar, olive oil, and garlic.
  3. Spread on the dressing.
  4. Place the ingredients inside the rolls and then cover.
  5. Wrap the sandwiches and let them set long enough for the dressing and juices to be absorbed by the roll, about 20 minutes.
