Oriental Slaw Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. Dressing (multiply by the amount of cabbage used)

  2. 1/4cupsugar
  3. 1/4cupwine vinegaror cider vinegar
  4. 2teaspoonssalt
  5. 2teaspoonsblack pepper
  6. 3/4cupvegetable oil
  7. 1/4cupsesame oil
  8. 1 1/2tablespoonschili oil
  9. 1-2headcabbage, shredded
  10. 1 1/3cupsgreen onions, chopped
  11. 3 (3 ounce)packageschicken-flavored ramen noodles
  12. 1/2-1cupslivered almonds, toasted
  13. 1/4cuptoasted sesame seeds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Whisk together the ingredients for the dressing.
  2. Pour over cabbage and green onions, cover and refrigerate over night.
  3. In the morning, crumple the noodles and add to the cabbage mixture, along with the seasoning packets from the noodles.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Add almonds and sesame seeds just before serving.
