Mushroom/Sausage Stuffing Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6cups toastedbread cubes
  2. 3/4lbsausage
  3. 8ouncesmushrooms, sliced
  4. 5stalkscelery, diced
  5. 1mediumonion
  6. 1/2cupbutter
  7. 1 (14 ounce)canchicken broth
  8. salt
  9. black pepper
  10. 2-3tablespoonssage

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brown sausage, add ½ butter, celery, onions, and mushrooms.
  2. Sauté over low – med heat.
  3. add remainder of butter, and ½ can of chicken broth.
  4. Add in a separate bowl, or pan, the breadcrumbs.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and sage.
  6. When vegetables are tender, add to breadcrumbs, and mix well, add remaining broth as needed to sufficiently moisten stuffing.
