Hamburger Steak and Gravy Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbground beefor ground roundor ground chuckor ground sirloin
  2. 1/2cupevaporated milk
  3. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  4. 1/8teaspoonpepper, plus extra
  5. 1/8teaspoononion powder
  6. 1/2cupflour
  7. Gravy

  8. 1/4cupdrippingsor butter
  9. 1/4cupflour
  10. 2cupswater
  11. 3teaspoonsbeef bouillon

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, and milk.
  2. Form into patties, they will be loose.
  3. Mix flour with as much pepper as you like.
  4. Dredge patties in flour mixture on both sides.
  5. Place in hot buttered pan.
  6. Cook for 3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove patties.
  8. Save any drippings that remain and add enough butter to make a 1/4 cup of drippings.
  9. Add flour and cook for a couple minutes.
  10. Add water and bouillion.
  11. Add patties back to gravy and cook on med-low for 20 minutes.
