Good for You Granola Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 1/2cupsold fashioned oats
  2. 1cup choppedpecans
  3. 3/4cupcoconut flakes
  4. 1/3cupwheat germ
  5. 2tablespoonssesame seeds (optional)
  6. 1/2cuphoney
  7. 1/4cupfrozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
  8. 2tablespoonsbrown sugar
  9. 1teaspoonvanilla
  10. 1/2teaspooncinnamon
  11. 1 (6 ounce)bagdried cranberries

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a 5 quart slow cooker, stir together oats, pecans, coconut, wheat germ and sesame seeds.
  2. In a bowl, mix together honey, apple juice concentrate, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.Microwave for 1 minute.Pour into slow cooker and stir.
  3. Cook 1 hour on high, without lid.
  4. Reduce to low, cover and cook 4 to 5 more hours, stirring occasionally, or until granola is dry and medium brown.
  5. Stir in cranberries.
