Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 4largegreen tomatoes
- 1/2cupall-purpose flouror cornmeal
- 1/4teaspoonpepper
- 1teaspoonsalt
- bacon drippingsor salad oil
DIRECTIONS
- Cut tomatoes into 1/4″ slices.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper; dredge tomato slices with this mixture.
- Place in heavy skillet containing hot bacon drippings.
- Fry slowly until brown, turning once.
