Creamed Chicken ‘n Veggies With Biscuit Topping Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2cup finely choppedwhite onions
  2. 1 1/2teaspoonsbutteror margarine
  3. 4cups choppedcooked chickenor cooked turkey
  4. 1 (10 3/4 ounce)cancream of chicken and mushroom soupor cream of chicken soup
  5. 1teaspoonsalt, to taste
  6. 1/2teaspoonpepper, to taste
  7. 1cupsour cream
  8. 1/2cupmilk
  9. 1cup of thawedpeas and carrotsor your favoritevegetables
  10. 1/4cup of choppedgreen peppers (optional)
  11. 1cup shreddedcheddar cheeseor your favoritecheese
  12. 6 frozenbiscuits, thawed
  13. cooking spray

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray the bottom and sides of a 11×7 inch baking dish.
  3. Chop the onion.
  4. Melt butter in a small non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Stir in onion and green peppers.
  6. Sauté until tender.
  7. Combine onion, chicken, soup, milk, veggies, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
  8. Spoon into sprayed dish.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup of cheese.
  11. Place biscuits in single layer over top.
  12. Sprinkle biscuits with remaining cheese.
  13. Bake until biscuits are golden brown and sauce is bubbly.
  14. About 20 minutes.
  15. Serve immediately.
