Crab Cakes With Honey Mustard Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1cupbreadcrumbs
  2. 1lbcrabmeat, shredded and picked over to remove shells and cartilage(imitation is okay to use)
  3. 1/2cupgreen bell peppers, diced small
  4. 1/2cupred bell peppers, diced small
  5. 1/4cup finely shreddedcarrots
  6. 1/4-1/3cup dicedonions(green onion is okay also)
  7. 1egg, beaten
  8. 1/2teaspoongarlic powder
  9. salt and black pepper
  10. 1/4teaspooncayenne pepper
  11. 1/4teaspoonmustard powder
  12. 1/2cupmayonnaise(not salad dressing)
  13. 1/3-1/2teaspoonworcestershire sauce
  14. vegetable oil(for frying)
  15. HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE

  16. 1cupmayonnaise
  17. 1/2teaspoonmustard powder
  18. 2tablespoonshoney
  19. 2tablespoonscayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all ingredients for the sauce recipe; refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Set the 1 cup of bread crumbs aside.
  3. Combine all other ingredients except for the vegetable oil (for frying), until well mixed.
  4. Form into 3-oz cakes/patties.
  5. Roll each cake/patty into the bread crumbs.
  6. Place the cakes in the FREEZER for 1 hour, to set up.
  7. Remove from freezer, and saute on medium heat until each cake is golden brown and heated through.
  8. Serve with honey mustard sauce– DELICIOUS!
