Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2cupsflour
- 1 1/2teaspoonsbaking soda
- 3/4teaspooncinnamon
- 1/4teaspoonsalt
- 1cupbutter, softened
- 1cupbrown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2cupsugar
- 2eggs
- 1teaspoonvanilla
- 2cupsoats
- 2cupschocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- 2. In medium-size bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- 3. In large bowl, cream butter with sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add flour mixture, beating until well blended.
- 4. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.
- 5. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
- 6. Once completely cooled, dip in melted chocolate if desired.
