Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2cupmayonnaise
  2. 2tablespoonsall-purpose flour
  3. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  4. 1/8teaspoonpepper
  5. 1 1/2cupsmilk
  6. 1cup shreddedsharp cheddar cheese
  7. 1teaspoon choppedfresh parsley
  8. 1teaspoon choppedfresh chives
  9. 1teaspoon choppedfresh thyme
  10. 4cups thinly slicedbaking potatoes(about 4 large)
  11. 2tablespoons gratedparmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise and next 3 ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Gradually add milk, and cook, stirring constantly, over medium-low heat 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add Cheddar cheese and next 3 ingredients, stirring until cheese melts and is well blended.
  5. Place half of potato slices evenly in a lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish; pour half of cheese mixture over potatoes. Repeat layers with remaining half of potato slices and cheese mixture.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 hour.
  8. Uncover and bake 30 more minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and fork tender.
