Caramel-frosted Zucchini Bars Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/4cupsmargarine
  2. 2cups packedbrown sugar
  3. 1cupsugar
  4. 1teaspoonvanilla extract
  5. 2eggs
  6. 3cupsflour
  7. 1 1/2teaspoonsbaking soda
  8. 1teaspoonsalt
  9. 1teaspoonbaking powder
  10. 1/8teaspoonnutmeg
  11. 1/8teaspoonground cloves
  12. 2cups gratedzucchini
  13. 1/2cupminiature chocolate chips
  14. 1/2cup choppedwalnuts
  15. 1/4cupmilk
  16. 1 1/2cupsconfectioners’ sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cream 3/4 cup softened margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, sugar, vanilla and eggs in bowl.
  2. Sift in next 6 dry ingredients, mixing well.
  3. Fold in zucchini, chocolate chips and walnuts in that order.
  4. Spread in greased and floured 10×15-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Bring 1/2 cup melted margarine, 1 cup brown sugar and milk to a boil in saucepan.
  7. Boil for 3 minutes.
  8. Stir in confectioners’ sugar.
  9. Spread over cake; cut into bars.
  10. Enjoy!
