Best Ever Easy Lasagna Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 15ouncesricotta cheese
  2. 1 1/4cupsparmesan cheese
  3. 1/2cup of choppedfresh basil
  4. 1egg, slighty beaten
  5. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  6. 1/2teaspoonpepper
  7. 9-12 freshlasagna noodles(whole foods or trader joe’s)or no-boil lasagna noodles
  8. 2-4cupsmozzarella cheese(depending on how much you like)
  9. 1 (32 ounce)jar your favoritemarinara sauce(2jars if using no boil noodles, I prefer Rao’s or Emeril’s eggplant based sauce)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Mix, ricotta, 1 cup parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, and basil until well blended and creamy.
  3. Layer sauce on bottom of lasagna pan, 3 noodles, thin layer of ricotta mix (approx. 3 tablespoons per noodle), mozzarella, and sauce.
  4. Repeat layers till last 3 noodles.
  5. Top last noodles with remaining sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan.
  6. For fresh noodles, cook 25 minutes, remove foil and cook 15 more, cool for 10.
  7. For no boil noodles, cook for about 1 hour, remove foil, cook till browned (5-10 minutes) cool for 10.
