Amaretto Custard Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 16ounceshalf-and-half
  2. 2 1/2ouncesgranulated sugar
  3. 5egg yolks
  4. 1pinchsalt
  5. 1ounceAmaretto
  6. 1/2teaspoonvanilla flavoring
  7. 1/4teaspoonalmond flavoring
  8. 1 1/2ouncesalmond paste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Warm Half& Half.
  2. Place sugar, egg yolks, salt, Amaretto, vanilla flavor, almond flavor, and almond paste in another bowl, mix well.
  3. Mix the Half& Half with egg yolk mixture.
  4. Pour mixture through a sieve.
  5. Pour mixture into well-buttered and sugared ceramic molds.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees in water bath for about 45 minutes or until set.
  7. Cool, unmold, and serve with fresh sliced fruit, fruit sauce, caramel sauce, or whipped cream.
  8. Yield: four servings.
