Savoury Impossible Pie Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4eggs
  2. 1/2cupself-rising flour
  3. 1onion, finely chopped
  4. 1/4cup choppedparsley
  5. 2cupsmilk
  6. 200gtunaor salmon
  7. 1/2cup gratedtasty cheese
  8. 1pinchground pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl beat together eggs, milk, flour.
  2. Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Pour into 30cm pie plate and bake at 190 deg C until the top is brown - ususally about 35 to 40 minutes.

Apple Butterscotch Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1cupall-purpose flour(I use unbleached)
  2. 3/4cupwhole wheat flour
  3. 3/4cupsugar
  4. 1/4cupground flaxseedor wheat germ
  5. 1teaspoonbaking powder
  6. 1teaspoonpumpkin pie spiceor cinnamon
  7. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
  8. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  9. 3largeeggs, beaten
  10. 1/2cupunsweetened applesauce
  11. 1/2cupcanola oil
  12. 2largegolden delicious apples, coarsely grated(about 2 cups, packed, I used 3 medium apples and peeled them first)
  13. 1/3cupbutterscotch chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. Whisk together flours, sugar, flaxseed, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together eggs, applesauce, and oil in another bowl. Stir in apples until well-blended.
  3. Pour liquid ingredients over dry ingredients and stir just until moistened. Stir in butterscotch chips.
  4. Pour batter into a 13×9 pan that has been coated with cooking spray. Smooth with a rubber spatula.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven about 35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. (Watch carefully, mine was done at 26 minutes).
  6. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.

Cheesy Potato Skins Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 5largerusset potatoes
  2. 1teaspoonolive oil
  3. 1/2teaspoonpaprika
  4. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  5. 1/8teaspooncayenne pepper
  6. 2tablespoonsparmesan cheese, freshly grated

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Scrub the potatoes. With a paring knife, remove skin and about 1/8 inch of the flesh in long 1- to 2-inch-wide strips (Reserve peeled potatoes for another use.)
  3. Toss potato skins with oil, paprika, salt and cayenne.
  4. Place in a single layer on a lightly oiled baking sheet; sprinkle with Parmesan.
  5. Bake until tender and golden, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Serves 4.

Simple Cabbage and Mushroom Side Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 60gbutter
  2. 4slicesrindless bacon, chopped
  3. 8mushrooms, sliced
  4. 600gcabbage, shredded
  5. 1spring onion(scallion)(optional)
  6. black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chop bacon, slice mushrooms and shred cabbage.
  2. Slice spring onion (scallion) if using. Set aside.
  3. Heat butter on medium heat in a large fry pan (skillet).
  4. Add bacon and mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add the cabbage and cook for a further 4 or 5 minutes until wilted.
  6. Stir in spring onion, if using, and season with black pepper.

Easiest Lentil Soup of All Time Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupsgreen lentils
  2. 8cupswateror vegetable broth
  3. 2garlic cloves, pressed
  4. 1 (14 ounce)candiced tomatoes with juice
  5. 2cupstiny pasta, cooked al dente
  6. 1tablespoondried parsley
  7. 1/2teaspoon crushedthyme
  8. 1/2teaspoon crushedrosemary
  9. 1/2teaspoonbasil
  10. salt
  11. pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. In large pot, combine lentils and water (or broth) and cook covered until tender (about 40 minutes).
  2. Stir in garlic, tomatoes, parsley, thyme, rosemary, and basil.
  3. Let simmer, covered, another 20 minutes.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add cooked pasta.
  6. Stir and serve.
