Potato and Corn Chowder Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4largerusset potatoes
  2. 1cupcreamed corn
  3. 1/4cuponions, minced
  4. 1/4cupcarrots, shredded
  5. 1tablespoonparsley
  6. 1/4cupcooked ham, cut in cubes
  7. 1/4cup slicedsmoked sausage
  8. 1/2cupmilk
  9. 1teaspoon tony chachere’screole seasoning
  10. 1/4cup shreddedcheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into cubes.
  2. cover with water in a large saucepan.
  3. cook until tender.
  4. remove from heat and carefully smash cubes without removing them from broth.
  5. Return saucepan to heat and all remaining ingredients except cheese.
  6. Cook over low fire for 30 minutes stirring frequently. If mixture is too thin thicken with a little potato flakes.
  7. Serve with a sprinkle of cheese in center of bowl.

The Doctor’s Orders Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2ouncesice
  2. 6ouncesdiet Dr. pepper soda
  3. 1ounceblackberry brandy
  4. 1ounce black velvetwhiskey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place ice in a large chilled glass.
  2. Pour the liquors over the ice and top with soda.
  3. Stir slightly with a straw (do NOT shake, for goodness sakes–unless you want to see your drink spray all over).

Blackberry Cream Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2ouncesblackberry brandy
  2. 1ouncebutterscotch schnapps
  3. 1tablespoonhalf-and-half
  4. 2ouncesice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chill two small (juice) glasses.
  2. Place ice in a drink shaker.
  3. Pour in liquors and shake 30 seconds.
  4. strain into 2 chilled glasses.
  5. Carefully pour half-and-half over the back of a spoon to float on top.
  6. Enjoy.

Fat Free Mandarin Orange Bars Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. Orange Bars

  2. 2cupsflour
  3. 2cupssugar substitute
  4. 1teaspoonsalt
  5. 1/2cupEgg Beaters egg substitute or4 egg whites
  6. 2teaspoonsbaking soda
  7. 1 (11 ounce)canmandarin oranges, drained
  8. 1 (11 ounce)canmandarin oranges, with juice
  9. Glaze

  10. 1 (8 ounce)packagefat free cream cheese
  11. 1cupsugar substituteor powdered sugar
  12. 2teaspoonsvanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat ingredients together for 2 minutes, or until Mandarin Oranges are mashed.
  2. Pour into 13 x 9 inch greased pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Glaze: Beat ingredients together until smooth. Spread on cooled bars.
  5. *note* if you cut the recipe in half you can use it for an 8×8 pan.

Asian Beef (Crock Pot) Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbskirt steaksor flank steaks
  2. 1teaspoonpepper
  3. 1teaspoonsalt
  4. 1tablespoongarlic(minced)
  5. 1teaspoonsugar
  6. 14ouncesbeef stock
  7. 1tablespoonteriyaki sauce
  8. 1tablespoonsoy sauce
  9. 1tablespoonhoisin sauce
  10. 1onion(chopped)
  11. 1red pepper(sliced)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut the steak across the grain into 1/4 inch slices.
  2. In a bowl, combine pepper, salt, garlic and sugar, stir.
  3. Put your steak slices in the mixture and toss.
  4. Put steak into crockpot, add beef broth andstir.
  5. Add teriyaki, soy and hoison sauce, stir.
  6. Add chopped onions and sliced red pepper, stir.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours depending on your crock pot.
  8. Serve over noodles or rice.
  9. Enjoy.
