Garlic Lover’s Chili Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbground beef
  2. 1lbground sausage
  3. 4 (15 ounce)cansdark red kidney beans(do not drain)
  4. 1 (14 1/2 ounce)candiced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil(do not drain)
  5. 1 (6 ounce)cantomato paste
  6. 1largefresh tomato, diced
  7. 1largeonion, chopped
  8. 1bell pepper, chopped
  9. 1/4cupgreen onions, chopped
  10. 1jalapeno, chopped (optional)
  11. 1tablespoongarlic, minced or garlic powder
  12. 3tablespoonschili powder
  13. 1tablespoonpepper
  14. 1teaspoonthyme
  15. 1teaspooncumin
  16. salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brown ground beef and sausage together in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain. Add meat to crock pot.
  2. In the same skillet add onion and green pepper. Cook until tender, stirring occassionally, approximately 5 minutes. Add to crock pot.
  3. Add remaining ingredients to crock pot and stir well. Slow cook on low 5-6 hours, stirring periodically.
  4. This can also be cooked on the stove. Follow previous directions, but add to a large pot instead. Heat to boil, cover, and simmer on low for 1 hour, stirring occassionally.

Super Bowl Mexican Bloody Mary Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1quartspicy hot V8
  2. 9ouncesvodka(6 shots vodka)
  3. 1 (4 ounce)candiced green chilies
  4. 1teaspoon dicedjalapenos

DIRECTIONS

  1. About an hour before game, mix all ingredients (except vodka) and bring to boil; chill.
  2. At time of game, mix tomato mixture with a shot of vodka per glass. This will kick up everything a notch!

Tuna Melt With Avocado Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2tablespoons finely choppedred onions
  2. 2 (6 ounce)canssolid white tuna packed in water, drained and flaked
  3. 2tablespoons finely choppedcelery
  4. 1/2cupmayonnaise(Hellman’s)
  5. 2teaspoonsfresh lemon juice
  6. 4slicesrye bread
  7. 2teaspoonsunsalted butter
  8. 1avocado, peeled, pit removed, thinly sliced, and lightly salted
  9. 1cup shreddedsharp cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place the chopped red onion in a small strainer; place strainer in a bowl of ice water; let sit for 10 minutes; drain onion and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the onion, tuna, celery, mayo, and lemon juice.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Preheat the broiler; lightly toast the bread, and spread each slice with butter.
  5. Distribute avocado slices evenly over the 4 slices of bread.
  6. Spread tuna mixture evenly on top of avocado; sprinkle cheese evenly on top.
  7. Place under the broiler until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately.

Rose Petal Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2ouncesvodka
  2. 1/2ouncewhite Creme de Cacao
  3. 1/2ouncesoho lychee liqueur(DeKuper Kwai Feh Lychee Liqueur or Soho Lychee Liqueur)
  4. grenadine
  5. rose petals

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  2. Add in the vodka, creme de cacao, lychee liqueur, and a dash of grenadine.
  3. Shake mixture vigorously for 5-10 seconds.
  4. Strain mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with a rose petal.

Beer Muffins Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 1/4cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 1 1/2tablespoonssugar
  3. 1tablespoonbaking powder
  4. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  5. 1/2teaspoonfresh ground black pepper
  6. 1largeegg, at room temperature
  7. 4tablespoonsunsalted butter, melted and cooled
  8. 2teaspoonsDijon mustard
  9. 1 1/4cupsbeer, at room temperature
  10. 1 1/4cups shreddedsharp cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Position rack in the center of oven; preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Prepare muffin tin—spray indentations and rims with nonstick spray.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper; set aside.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg, melted butter, and mustard until blended.
  5. Gently whisk in the beer until the foaming subsides, then add the cheese.
  6. Finally, stir in the flour mixture with a wooden spoon until moistened.
  7. Fill prepared muffin tins ¾ full; bake 20 minutes or until muffins have lumpy brown tops and a pick comes out almost clean.
  8. Set pan on a wire rack to cool for 10 minutes; gently tip each muffin to one side to make sure it’s not stuck (gently rock back and forth to release it); remove muffins from pan and cool for 5 minutes on wire rack.
  9. *Beer Blue Cheese Muffins—decrease Cheddar to ¾ cup and add ½ cup crumbled blue cheese, such as Gorgonzola or Stilton, with the remaining cheese; proceed as directed.
  10. *Beer Caraway Muffins—Add 1 tablespoons caraway seeds with the flour; proceed as directed.
  11. *Beer Celery Seed Muffins—add 1 tablespoon celery seeds with the flour; proceed as directed.
  12. *Cider Muffins: substitute hard cider for the beer; proceed as directed.
