Green Beans, Cream Style Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 10ouncesgreen beans, fresh
  2. 4ouncescream cheese, softened
  3. 1/4cupmilk
  4. 1/4teaspooncelery seeds
  5. 1/8teaspoonsalt(to taste)
  6. 1/8teaspoonpepper(to taste)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Steam the beans until just done, about 15-20 minutes, then place in a saucepan.
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients & blend well.
  3. Add the cream sauce to the beans & heat through.

Maple Almond Souffle Pancake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3largeeggs, separated
  2. 3tablespoonspure maple syrup(plus additional syrup for serving)
  3. 2tablespoonssour cream
  4. 1tablespoonbutteror margarine
  5. 1/4cupsliced almonds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a small mixing bowl with electric mixer, beat egg yolks until thick and pale, about 3 minutes.
  3. Mix in maple syrup and sour cream.
  4. In another mixing bowl with clean beaters, beat egg whites on high speed until soft peaks form. Fold whites into yolk mixture.
  5. Melt butter in an 8- to 9-inch nonstick skillet with an ovenproof handle.
  6. Sprinkle almonds over bottom.
  7. Spoon egg mixture over.
  8. Cook over low heat until sides begin to brown and the underside is golden when lifted with a spatula, about 5 minutes. Be careful not to burn the almonds.
  9. Transfer pan to oven and bake for 5 to 8 minutes or until top is puffed and browned.
  10. If necessary, loosen sides with a thin spatula. Slide omelet onto serving plate, flipping top half over bottom to fold in half.
  11. Serve with additional syrup.

Hot Turkey and Dressing Sandwiches Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/4cuponions, chopped
  2. 1/2cupbutter
  3. 20ouncescream of mushroom soup
  4. 2cupschicken broth
  5. 2cupsstuffing cubes
  6. 1 1/2lbsturkey, cooked and cut up

DIRECTIONS

  1. Saute onions in butter.
  2. Add soup and broth and stuffing; stir over medium heat a few minutes.
  3. Stir in turkey.
  4. Put in crock pot and cook on low 8 hours.
  5. Serve on buns.

High Energy Double-Nut Tweety Treat for the Birds Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 5-7lbs rawsuet
  2. 1lbfatty bacon
  3. 2cupsraw peanuts(chopped)
  4. 2cupsraisins
  5. 2cupscornmeal
  6. 2cupsoatmeal
  7. 1cuppeanut butter
  8. 1cup drydog food(crushed)
  9. 1cupsunflower seeds
  10. 1/2cupsugar
  11. 1/2cup crackedcornor mixedbird seed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook suet until melted.
  2. Fry bacon till crisp (save the fat).
  3. Add crumbled bacon and fat to the melted suet.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Pour into a pan.
  6. Allow mixture to cool completely and cut into squares that fit in your suet feeder.

Weight Watchers Low-Fat Chocolate Crunch Bars (2pts) Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6cupschocolate-flavor crisp rice cereal
  2. 1 1/2tablespoonsmargarine
  3. 1 1/2tablespoonsreduced-fat peanut butter
  4. 8ounceslarge marshmallows(use half 16-ounce package)
  5. 1/3cup reduced-fatsemisweet chocolate morsels

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place the rice cereal in a large bowl.
  3. In a saucepan combine the margaine with peanut butter; cook stirring constantly over low heat until marshmallows are melted.
  4. Pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal; stirwith wooden spoon until well coated.
  5. Add/mix in reduced-fat chocolate morsels.
  6. Press the mixture into prepared pan, using a rubber spatula to spread out.
  7. Cut into 24 bars.
