Italian Sirloin Stew Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbboneless beef top sirloin steaks, 1 inch thick
  2. 1garlic clove, crushed
  3. 2tablespoonsolive oil, divided
  4. 2mediumonions, cut into 1/4 inch slices
  5. 1teaspoondried basil leaves
  6. 1/8teaspoonground red pepper
  7. 1 (14 1/2 ounce)cantomatoes, undrained
  8. 1cupbeef broth
  9. 2mediumzucchini, cut into 1/4 inch slices
  10. parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut beef steak into 1/4 inch thick strips; cut each strip into 1 inch pieces.
  2. Combine garlic with one tablespoon oil; stir into beef and reserve.
  3. Saute onion in remaining oil in large saucepan 3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with basil and pepper; cook and stir 1 minute.
  5. Add tomatoes, beef broth and zucchini.
  6. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile heat large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  8. Cook and stir beef 1 to 2 minutes; add to sauce.
  9. Stir 2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablesppons water into stew and cook until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with grated cheese if desired.
  11. Serve immediately.

Easy Salmon Loaf Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 16ouncessalmon, drained and flaked
  2. 1/2cupmayonnaise
  3. 1cupdry breadcrumbs
  4. 1 (10 1/2 ounce)cancream of celery soup
  5. 1egg
  6. 1/2cup mincedonions
  7. 1tablespoonlemon juice
  8. pepper
  9. MEDIUM WHITE SAUCE

  10. 2tablespoonsmargarine
  11. 2tablespoonsflour
  12. 1cupmilk
  13. salt and pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all loaf ingredients together.
  2. Shape into loaf.
  3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  4. Top with white sauce.
  5. SAUCE:.
  6. Melt margarine in heavy saucepan.
  7. Add flour
  8. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  9. Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
  10. Add salt and pepper.

Frosted Brownies or Texas Brownies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. CAKE

  2. 1/2cupbutter
  3. 1/2cupshortening
  4. 1cup strongbrewed coffee
  5. 1/4cupdark unsweetened cocoa
  6. 1/2cupbuttermilk
  7. 2eggs
  8. 1teaspoonbaking soda
  9. 1teaspoonvanilla
  10. 2cupsflour
  11. 2cupssugar
  12. FROSTING

  13. 1/2cupbutter
  14. 2 1/4tablespoonsdark cocoa
  15. 1/4cupmilk
  16. 3 1/2cupsconfectioners’ sugar
  17. 1teaspoonvanilla

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl combine flour and sugar.
  2. In a large saucepan combine butter, shortening, cocoa, and coffee.
  3. Mix well and heat to boiling.
  4. Pour into the flour and sugar; mix well.
  5. Add the buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, and vanilla.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Pour into a well-greased 11×17 1/2 cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or till done.
  8. While brownies bake make the frosting.
  9. In a large saucepan combine the butter, cocoa, and milk; heat to boiling and mix well.
  10. Mix in the confectioners sugar and vanilla and mix till smooth.
  11. Pour warm frosting over the brownies as soon as you take them out of the oven.
  12. Cool; cut into 48 bars.

Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 1/4cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 1teaspoonbaking soda
  3. 1teaspoonsalt
  4. 1cupbutter, softened
  5. 3/4cupgranulated sugar
  6. 3/4cup packedbrown sugar
  7. 1teaspoonvanilla extract
  8. 2largeeggs
  9. 1 3/4cupsmilk chocolate chips
  10. 1cup choppednuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in morsels and nuts.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Four Ingredients Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lb refrigeratedbiscuit dough
  2. 1 (10 ounce)cancream of chicken soup, condensed
  3. 1cupcooked chicken, cubed
  4. 1lbfrozen mixed vegetables, thawed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Roll out dough and divide in half.
  3. Press half the dough into a buttered 9″pie plate.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour into crust.
  5. Cover with remaining dough, crimping edges under to seal.
  6. Cut several slits in top of pie.
  7. Bake about 30 minutes or until top is well browned.
