Cherry Filled Crescent Rolls Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (8 count)cancrescent rolls
  2. 1 1/2cupscherry pie filling
  3. 1/2cupconfectioners’ sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Unroll crescent rolls.
  2. Place 2 Tbsp cherry pie filling in center of each roll; roll up dough.
  3. Bake according to directions on can.
  4. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.

Maple-Baked Acorn Squash Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2acorn squash(1 1/2 lb each)
  2. 1/2cupmaple syrup
  3. 4tablespoonsbrown sugar
  4. 2tablespoonsbutter
  5. 1/4cup choppedpecans
  6. 1dashsalt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut each squash crosswise in half.
  2. Scoop out seeds and strings.
  3. Place squash halves (cavity side up) in large baking pan.
  4. Put 1/4 of remaining ingredients into each cavity.
  5. Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven for 35-40 minutes till squash is tender.

Baked Acorn Squash with Fruit Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1smallacorn squash(1 lb)
  2. 2tart apples, chopped
  3. 1/4cuporange slices
  4. 1tablespoonorange juice
  5. 2tablespoonsbrown sugar
  6. 2tablespoonsbutter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Halve squash, remove seeds and strings.
  2. Place cut side down in shallow baking pan.
  3. Add boiling water to a depth of one half inch.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven.
  6. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon into squash cavities.
  7. Cover and bake for 15 minutes more.

Coffee-Frosted Mocha Brownies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. BROWNIES

  2. 1tablespooninstant espresso powder
  3. 2teaspoonshot water
  4. 1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips(or 6 oz. good quality semisweet chocolate, chopped)
  5. 1/2cupbutter
  6. 1cupsugar
  7. 1teaspoonvanilla
  8. 2eggs
  9. 1cupflour
  10. 1/2teaspoonbaking powder
  11. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  12. FROSTING

  13. 1teaspooninstant espresso powder
  14. 2-3tablespoonsheavy creamor milk
  15. 2cupspowdered sugar
  16. 1/4cupbutter, softened
  17. DRIZZLE

  18. 1/3cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
  19. 1/2teaspoonshortening

DIRECTIONS

  1. BROWNIES: Preheat oven to 350*F.
  2. Combine the espresso powder and hot water in a small bowl; stir to dissolve the granules.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth; remove pan from heat.
  5. Stir in the espresso mixture, sugar, and vanilla.
  6. Add the eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  7. Stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt; add to the chocolate mixture just until combined.
  8. Spread batter evenly into a greased 8″ square baking pan.
  9. Bake for 33-38 minutes, or until the brownies just begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
  10. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
  11. Cool completely.
  12. FROSTING: Combine the espresso powder and 2 Tbsp.
  13. heavy cream in a small bowl; stir to dissolve the granules.
  14. Add the powdered sugar and butter; beat with an electric mixer on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally, and adding enough cream to reach desired spreading consistency.
  15. Frost cooled brownies.
  16. DRIZZLE: Melt the chocolate chips and shortening together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth; drizzle over frosting.
  17. If desired, swirl the chocolate with a knife for a marbelized pattern.
  18. Cut into bars.

Not Your Mamma’s Tuna Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 (6 ounce)canstuna in water(drained)
  2. 3hard-boiled eggs, finely chopped
  3. 1cupmayonnaise(can use fat free or lite)
  4. 1teaspooncumin
  5. 1/2teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
  6. 1garlic clove, minced
  7. 2tablespoons choppedred peppers
  8. 2tablespoons choopedgreen peppers

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Chill for 3 hours or overnight.
  4. Serve on your favorite bread or use as a dip.
