Butterscotch Bites Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1packagebutterscotch chips
  2. 1/2cupbutteror margarine
  3. 1egg
  4. 1cupicing sugar
  5. 3cupscolored miniature marshmallows
  6. 12graham crackers

DIRECTIONS

  1. Melt the chips and the butter.
  2. Remove from heat and add egg, sugar and marshmallows.
  3. Line 8″ pan with graham crackers.
  4. Pour mixture over and spread evenly.
  5. Chill well.

Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lblean ground beef
  2. 1mediumonion
  3. 1 (4 ounce)cansliced mushrooms
  4. 1 (10 1/2 ounce)cancream of mushroom soup
  5. 1cupsour cream
  6. salt and pepper
  7. garlic powder

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brown and drain beef, onions and mushrooms in skillet.
  2. Add soup and simmer 15 minutes.
  3. Season as desired.
  4. Pour in sour cream.
  5. Reheat before serving over egg noodles.

Picante Beef and Beans Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2tablespoonscornstarch
  2. 2tablespoonswater
  3. 1lbground beef
  4. 1tablespoonchili powder
  5. 3/4cupsalsa
  6. 16ouncesblack beans, drained
  7. 15ouncespinto beans, undrained
  8. 14 1/2ouncesstewed tomatoes
  9. 2cupscooked rice
  10. seasoning salt
  11. Tabasco sauce

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a bowl mix cornstarch and water.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet brown the beef with the chili powder.
  4. Cook until beef is done.
  5. Add salsa, beans and tomatoes.
  6. Stir and then add cornstarch mixture.
  7. Cook until mixture thickens.
  8. Add rice and season with seasoned salt and Tabasco sauce.

Schnitz and Knapp Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupsdried apples
  2. 3lbssmoked ham, butt
  3. 4cupschicken broth
  4. 2cupswater
  5. 2tablespoonsdark brown sugar
  6. 1 1/2cupsflour
  7. 2teaspoonsbaking powder
  8. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  9. 2tablespoonsbutter
  10. 1cupmilk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cover apples with boiling water and let stand until cool.
  2. Drain.
  3. Trim excess fat from ham.
  4. Place in Dutch oven and add chicken broth and water.
  5. Bring to boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer 90 minutes or until tender.
  7. Remove ham and skim fat from broth.
  8. Slice and cube ham and return it to the Dutch oven.
  9. Add apples and brown sugar.
  10. Bring to boil, stirring to disolve sugar.
  11. Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes.
  12. Make dumplings by combining flour with baking powder and salt.
  13. Cut into butter to resemble coarse corn meal.
  14. Add milk and beat vigorously until smooth.
  15. Drop 6 or 8 spoonfuls into simmering broth.
  16. Cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes.
  17. To serve, remove dumplings with slotted spoon.
  18. Pour ham and apple mixture around dumplings.

Ham and Pasta Skillet Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (10 ounce)can condensedbroccoli cheese soup
  2. 1cupmilk
  3. 1tablespoonspicy brown mustard
  4. 2cupsbroccoli
  5. 1 1/2-2cupsham, cubes
  6. 3cupscooked pasta(about 2 cups uncooked)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium skillet mix soup, milk, mustard and broccoli.
  2. Over medium heat, heat to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook 5 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
  4. Add ham and pasta and heat through.
