Brandied Liver and Onions Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2tablespoonsall-purpose flour
  2. 1/4teaspoonpepper
  3. 1pinchsalt
  4. 1lbcalf liver, sliced thin
  5. 3slicesbacon
  6. 1onion, sliced into rings
  7. 1/2cupraisins
  8. 2tablespoonsbrandy
  9. 1tablespooncider vinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. On sheet of wax paper, combine flour, pepper and salt.
  2. Dredge liver in flour mixture.
  3. In large non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp.
  4. Remove to paper towel to drain; crumble when cool.
  5. To drippings in pan, add liver and saute, in batches if necessary, until golden brown– about 1 1/2 minutes per side.
  6. Remove to serving platter, keep warm.
  7. Add onions to skillet, cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
  8. Stir in raisins, brandy and cider vinegar, cook one minute.
  9. Add crumbled bacon, pour over liver.
  10. Serve Hot!

Chocolate Cheese Fudge Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2lbVelveeta cheese, sliced
  2. 1cupbutter
  3. 1teaspoonpure vanilla extract
  4. 1cup choppednuts, pecans,walnuts
  5. 2 (16 ounce)boxesconfectioners’ sugar
  6. 1/2cupcocoa powder

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spray lightly the bottom of a 9 by 2-inch square pan with a nonstick spray.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the cheese and butter together, stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla and nuts.
  4. In a large bowl sift together the sugar and cocoa.
  5. Pour the cheese mixture into the sugar and cocoa mixture and stir until completely mixed.
  6. The candy will be very stiff.
  7. Using your hands, remove candy from bowl and press evenly and firmly into pan.
  8. Because of the amount of butter in this recipe, pat the top of the candy with a paper towel to remove the excess oil.
  9. Place pan in refrigerator until candy is firm.
  10. To serve candy, cut into squares.
  11. Enjoy!

Roasted Red Pepper Lasagna Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4mediumsweet red peppers
  2. 9lasagna noodles
  3. 4clovesgarlic, minced
  4. 1tablespoonolive oil
  5. 1 (28 ounce)cancrushed tomatoes
  6. 1teaspoondried parsley
  7. 1teaspoonsugar
  8. 1teaspoondried basil
  9. 1/2teaspoonpepper
  10. 1/4cupbutteror margarine
  11. 1/3cupall-purpose flour
  12. 2 1/2cupslow-fat milkor nonfat milk
  13. 2cups shreddedparmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut each peper into quarters remove seeds.
  2. Place peppers cut side down on a foil lined baking sheet.
  3. Broil 4 inches from heat for 20-25 minuets or until skin is blistered& blackened.
  4. Immediately place peppers in a bowl,cover& let stand 15-20 minutes.
  5. Peel off& discard skin.
  6. Cut peppers in 1/4 in.
  7. strips.
  8. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions;drain.
  9. In saucepan cookred peppers& garlic in oil for about 1 minute; add tomatos, parsley, sugar, basil& pepper.
  10. Simmer uncovered 20 minutes.
  11. In another sauce pan melt butter.
  12. Stir in flour until smooth.
  13. Gradually add milk.
  14. Bring to a boil; cook& stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  15. Spred 1 cup pepper sauce in a 13×9x2nich baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  16. Top with 3 noodles 1 1/2 cups pepper sauce, 1 cup white sauce 1/3 of parmesan cheese.
  17. Repeat layers ending with cheese.
  18. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly.
  19. Or covered for 15-20 minutes then uncover for last 10-15 minuets.
  20. Let stand about 15 minutes befor cutting.

No Roll Pie Crust Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 1tablespoonvanilla sugar
  3. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  4. 1/2cupcanola oil
  5. 3tablespoonsmilk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Put all ingredients into a 9 inch pie pan.
  3. mix with fork until well blended and pat into the pan.
  4. Push the pastry up the sides and form a nice edge with your thumb and finger.
  5. Generously prick the crust with a fork to prevent bubbling during baking.
  6. Bake 15 to 17 minutes at 375, until nicely browned.

Homemade Ginger Beer Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2lbsginger, cut into 1 inch pieces
  2. 1gallonboiling water
  3. 1 1/2cups freshly squeezedlime juice(about 8 limes)
  4. 1 1/2cupssuperfine sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place ginger in a food processor, and process until finely chopped.
  2. Transfer to a large pot, and add boiling water.
  3. Allow to stand for 1 hour.
  4. Drain with a fine sieve lined with a double thickness of damp cheesecloth.
  5. Discard solids.
  6. Add lime juice and sugar, and stir to disolve.
