Apricot Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 5lbschicken wings
  2. 1cupsoy sauce
  3. 2tablespoonsapricot jam
  4. 1jarapricot baby food
  5. 2clovesgarlic, minced

DIRECTIONS

  1. Remove tips from chicken wings and discard; cut through wings to separate; marinate in plastic bag with remaining ingredients for 24 hours.
  2. Place chicken and marinade on jelly roll pan lined with well-greased foil; bake at 350°, 1 hour, turning once.
  3. Place in crockpot on low for at least 3 hours; serve warm or cold.

Miracle Meatballs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1slice day-oldbread, crust removed
  2. 1/4cupdry sherry
  3. 3tablespoonslight cream
  4. 1lb leanbeef sirloin
  5. 1/2lbsmoked ham
  6. 1/4cup choppedtoasted almonds
  7. 2tablespoons choppedfresh parsley
  8. 1/4cup gratedparmesan cheese
  9. 2teaspoonssalt
  10. 1teaspoonfresh ground pepper
  11. 1/2teaspoondried oregano
  12. 3eggs
  13. 1/4cupbutter, melted
  14. 1/4cupolive oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place bread in a small bowl and pour wine and cream over the bread and crumble it as the liquid is absorbed; pulse the beef, ham, almonds and parsley in a food processor; remove to a bowl.
  2. Add the cheese, salt, pepper and oregano to the meat; beat eggs and pour over all; mix all lightly with 2 forks until thoroughly combined.
  3. Refrigerate covered for 1/2 hour; form tiny meat balls; heat butter and oil in a skillet and brown meatballs slowly on all sides; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Serve hot as hors d’oeuvres or use in another recipe.

Good For Health: Bean Sprouts And Almond Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2cupbean sprouts
  2. 1 1/2tablespoonsalmonds, blanched and chopped
  3. 3/4cupcucumbers, finely chopped
  4. 1lemon, juice of, to taste
  5. 3smallred radishes or fresh carrots, sliced lengthwise(whichever you prefer - I love carrots)
  6. 1tablespoonmint leaves
  7. salt
  8. 3-5lettuce leaves, washed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and serve on a bed of lettuce leaves!

Potato And Pineapple Salad in Mayonnaise Recipe

  1. 1/4cuppineapple slices, cut into small cubes
  2. 2cupspotatoes, boiled,peeled and diced
  3. 1/2cupred bell peppers, finely chopped
  4. 1spring onion, finely chopped
  5. 1/2cupfrozen corn, boiled for a few minutes in salted water and drained
  6. salt
  7. 1 1/2cupsmayonnaise
  8. 1tablespoon choppedchives, to garnish
  9. 2tablespoons choppedwalnuts, to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix everything together in a bowl.
  2. Ganrish with chives and walnuts and serve.

Bean Sprouts And Tomato Salad Topped With Pesto Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2cupsfresh basil leaves
  2. 3/4cupolive oil
  3. 3tablespoonswhite vinegar
  4. 2clovesgarlic, minced
  5. 3/4cupparmesan cheese, grated
  6. 3/4teaspoonsalt
  7. 4cupsbean sprouts
  8. 2largetomatoes, peeled and sliced round
  9. 4-5lettuce leaves, washed

DIRECTIONS

  1. To prepare the Pesto, blend basil, oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and cheese in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  2. Keep aside.
  3. Line a salad plate with lettuce leaves.
  4. Spread the bean sprouts over it.
  5. Place the sliced tomatoes over the bean sprouts.
  6. Spoon the Pesto over the salad.
  7. Serve at once.
