Toffee Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 36caramel candies(Kraft’s work well)
  2. 3tablespoonscream
  3. 2cupscorn flakes
  4. 1cupRice Krispies
  5. 1/2cupcoconut

DIRECTIONS

  1. Melt caramels in the microwave with the cream, about 2 minutes.
  2. Stir well.
  3. When melted, add in the cereals and the coconut being sure to coat everything well.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Allow to harden.

Baked Beans Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4slicesbacon, diced
  2. 1/2cup choppedonions
  3. 2 (16 ounce)cansvegetarian baked beans, in tomato sauce
  4. 1/4cupketchup
  5. 3tablespoonslight brown sugar
  6. 1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
  7. 1/8teaspoongarlic powder
  8. 3dashesmustard
  9. 2slices rawbacon, diced large for top

DIRECTIONS

  1. PREHEAT 375* Saute bacon til crisp remove and cook onion in small amount of the bacon grease until tender.
  2. Combine cooked bacon, onion, ketchup, sugar, mustard, beans etc.
  3. (except for raw bacon) Mix well in bowl.
  4. Place in casserole dish, top with raw bacon.
  5. Bake uncovered 50-55 minutes.

Peanut Brittle Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupssugar
  2. 1/2cuphot water
  3. 1cuplight corn syrup
  4. 1lb shelledroasted peanuts
  5. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda

DIRECTIONS

  1. Sauce pan: on low heat cook water, sugar and syrup until spins threads when spoon is lifted.
  2. Add peanuts, cook until brown, add baking soda.
  3. Pour into greased cookie sheet let harden at room temperature.

Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6sweet potatoes
  2. 3tablespoonsbutter
  3. 1tablespoonlemon juice
  4. 1/3-1/2cup log cabinmaple syrup
  5. marshmallows

DIRECTIONS

  1. wash and scrub potatoes rub with crisco shortening.
  2. bake on cookie sheet lined with foil 35-45 minutes until fork goes in easy.
  3. Spray casserole dish with pam.
  4. Chop potatoes and mash in bowl, add butter lemon juice and syrup.
  5. Mix well,place in casserole dish.
  6. level mixture to ensure even cooking.
  7. Bake 350* for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove add marshmallows on top and broil until lightly toasted.
  9. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED, BROWNING WILL NOT TAKE LONG!
  10. the potatoes can be baked the day before to save on time.

Taco Dip Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1packagetaco seasoning mix
  2. 1lbground beef
  3. 1 (8 ounce)canrefried beans
  4. 1 (4 ounce)can slicedblack olives, drained
  5. 1cup shreddedlettuce
  6. 2diced tomatoes
  7. 8ouncessour cream
  8. 2 finely slicedgreen onions
  9. 1dashTabasco sauce
  10. 1cup shreddedcheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brown meat, dash tabasco, mix, drain.
  2. Mix beans with seasoning, spread evenly onto serving platter, spread sour cream over beans.
  3. Sprinkle beef over sour cream followed by lettuce, cheese, onion, tomato and then olives.
  4. In that order.
  5. Chill.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips.
