Potato’s on the grill Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4mediumpotatoes
  2. 2tablespoonsolive oil
  3. 1teaspoonoregano
  4. 1teaspoonbasil
  5. 1/2teaspoongarlic powder
  6. 1/2teaspoononion powder
  7. 2sheetsaluminum foil(aprox 9 x 12)

DIRECTIONS

  1. slice potatoes.
  2. place on foil.
  3. add rest of ingredients.
  4. mix well.
  5. wrap foil leaving a little room for heat to circulate.
  6. grill aprox 45 minunets.
  7. carefully open foil.
  8. serve.
  9. Serves 4.

Soupe au Pistou Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6cupsboiling water
  2. 1lbFrench beans, cleaned,cut in 1 inch lengths
  3. 4mediumpotatoes, chopped finely
  4. 3tomatoes, peeled,chopped
  5. 1/4lbvermicelli
  6. For the aillade

  7. 3clovesgarlic
  8. 1cupfresh basil
  9. 1 grilledtomato, peeled and seeded
  10. gratedgruyere cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Put the beans, potatoes and tomatoes into the boiling water.
  2. Season with salt and pepper and boil over a hot fire.
  3. When the vegetables are almost cooked, add the vermicelli and finish cooking gently.
  4. Make the aillade: In a blender, blend the garlic, basil and grilled tomato until thoroughly smooth.
  5. Add 3 tablespoonfuls of the liquid from the pistou (soup).
  6. Pour the pistou into a tureen, stir in the aillade and top with some grated Gruyere (Swiss) cheese.

Garlic Scapes Hot Potato Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbgarlic scapes, trimmed and cut into green-bean sized pieces
  2. 1green pepper
  3. 1red pepper
  4. 1summer squash
  5. 2lbs smallred potatoes, scrubbed but not peeled
  6. 1tablespoonextra-virgin olive oil, with rosemary(or add a pinch of dried rosemary to plain olive oil)
  7. 1/4cup rawsunflower seeds
  8. salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chop garlic scapes, green pepper, red pepper, and summer squash into chunks.
  2. Place in the top part of steamer.
  3. Place potatoes and water to cover in bottom half of steamer.
  4. Cover, place over high heat.
  5. Boil for 20 minutes, or until vegetables are soft and potatoes are cooked.
  6. Cut potatoes in half.
  7. Toss with vegetables, olive oil, sunflower seeds, and salt and pepper to taste.

White Chocolate Scones Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupsflour
  2. 2tablespoonssugar
  3. 2teaspoonsbaking powder
  4. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
  5. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  6. 1/4cupbutter, cold
  7. 1largeegg
  8. 2/3cupbuttermilk
  9. 4-6ounceswhite chocolate chips
  10. raspberry jam
  11. whipped cream

DIRECTIONS

  1. Lightly grease a baking pan and preheat oven to 400°.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
  3. Cut the butter into small pieces and incorporate into the flour mixture with a pastry cutter, or a fork, until evenly incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and buttermilk together and stir lightly into the flour mixture.
  5. Mix in the chips.
  6. Knead dough together, just until mixed.
  7. This is a fairly wet dough-do not add too much flour or handle too much or the scones will get tough.
  8. On a lightly floured surface, pat or roll the dough out to about 1-inch thick.
  9. Cut with a round 2-inch floured cookie cutter.
  10. Place on a baking sheet and bake about 15 minutes, or until scones are a light golden brown.
  11. Serve with jam and whipped cream.

Pork N Beans & Wienies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3 (16 ounce)canspork and beans
  2. 1(12-16 ounce)packagebeef hot dogs
  3. 1mediumonion, chopped
  4. 1teaspoonolive oil
  5. 4teaspoonsbrown Sugar Twin

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut the hot dogs into bite-size pieces.
  2. In large frying pan add oil, hot dogs and the onion.
  3. Fry until onions are tender and the hot dogs are browned.
  4. Pour pork & beans into the pan and add the brown sugar twin.
  5. Simmer on medium low heat for 20 minutes.
