Homemade Fiddle Faddle Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupsbrown sugar
  2. 1cupmargarine
  3. 1/2cupwhite corn syrup
  4. 1teaspoonbutter flavoring
  5. 1teaspoonmaple flavoring
  6. 1/4teaspooncream of tartar
  7. 1teaspoonbaking soda
  8. 7quartspopped corn
  9. 2cupsmixed nuts

DIRECTIONS

  1. In saucepan, combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup, and salt.
  2. Boil for 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add flavorings, cream of tartar, and soda.
  4. Pour over popped corn and nuts, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Bake in 200 degrees oven for one hour.

Skorpor (Swedish Rusks) Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/4cupssugar
  2. 1/2cupshortening
  3. 1egg, beaten
  4. 1cupsour milkor buttermilk
  5. 3 1/2cupsflour
  6. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  7. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
  8. 1teaspoonbaking powder
  9. 1cup choppednuts

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cream sugar and shortening; add egg and sour milk and stir.
  2. Sift flour, salt, soda, and baking powder together.
  3. Add to first mixture.
  4. Add nuts, if desired.
  5. In a 9×13-inch pan, bake one hour at 350 degrees.
  6. Cut into 1 1/2 x 3-inch strips and dry in slow oven, 300 degrees, until crispy.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 250mlfresh orange juice
  2. 225gfresh strawberries, chopped
  3. 175mlpapayas, diced
  4. 1 frozenbanana, sliced

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix the orange juice and strawberries in a blender.
  2. Add the papaya and banana and blend until smooth.
  3. Vitamin C is great for beating flu.

  2. 175mlunsweetened apple juice
  3. 100gfrozen unsweetened raspberries
  4. 1 frozenbanana, sliced

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine everything in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. If you combine a good diet with low-fat smoothies and regular exercise, you’ll reap the benefits!
  3. Drink this smoothie often.
  4. It is almost fat-free and the raspberries replace the potassium you lose when you work out.

Too Good Beef Biryani Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1kg long-grainbasmati rice
  2. 1kgbeef, clean and cut into average sized pieces and boiled with turmeric powder,black pepper and salt to tas
  3. 1kgonions, sliced
  4. 1kgtomatoes, washed,peeled and chopped into small pieces
  5. 1cupoil
  6. 1cupghee
  7. 2 maggichicken bouillon cubes
  8. 3teaspoonsred chili powder
  9. 1/2teaspoonturmeric powder
  10. 3teaspoonscoriander powder
  11. 2tablespoonsginger-garlic paste
  12. 50gcashews
  13. 50gpistachios
  14. 50gfresh coriander leaves, washed and chopped
  15. 8-12green cardamoms
  16. 4bay leaves
  17. 15wholeblack peppercorns
  18. 30gmint leaves
  19. salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a wok.
  2. Fry the boiled beef in the hot oil until it turns brown on either side.
  3. Remove the fried beef and allow the excess oil to drain on clean paper kitchen napkins.
  4. Add all the onions to the hot oil, except for 2 sliced onions, and stir-fry briefly (about 7-10 minutes).
  5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, corriander powder, cardamoms, bay leaves and half the black peppercorns.
  6. Mix well until it forms a dry paste.
  7. Stir in the chicken stock.
  8. Add tomato slices and cook until the water in the tomato dries up and oil floats on the top.
  9. Put the fried beef lightly crushed by hand into it.
  10. Mix in the salt as per your taste.
  11. Allow it to cook on low flame until cooked.
  12. While it is cooking, heat oil in a skillet.
  13. Fry the remaining onions in it until they turn light brown.
  14. Remove from heat.
  15. Add the remaining peppercorns, bay leaves and green cardamoms to the same oil.
  16. Then, toss in the cashewnuts and pistachios and fry until lightly golden brown and aromatic.
  17. Add the drained rice to the oil and mix well.
  18. Add 5 glasses of water and a pinch of salt.
  19. When the rice comes to a boil, reduce flame and keep it covered.
  20. As the water gets absorbed by the rice, remove half of it and put the prepared beef curry on top.
  21. Garnish with mint leaves, corriander leaves, cashewnuts, fried onions and pistachios.
  22. Spread the remaining rice on top of this and give one more layer of garnish.
  23. Keep it on low flame, covered, for 10 minutes, and let it cook.
  24. All the flavours will blend most beautifully!
  25. Serve this awesome complete meal hot!
