INGREDIENTS

Soup Mix
- 1lbdried red beans
- 1lb driedbarley pearls
- 1lbdried pinto beans
- 1lbdried navy beans
- 1lbdried great northern beans
- 1lbdried lentils
- 1lbdried split peas
- 1lbdried black-eyed peas
DIRECTIONS
- Combine and mix well.
- Divide into 2 cup packages for home or for gifts with recipe included: Soup Recipe: 2 c.
- Friendship Soup Mix, 2 qt.
- water, 3 stalks celery,chopped, 1 large onion,chopped, 1 lb.
- diced ham, 1 clove minced garlic, 1 (16 oz.) can chopped tomatoes, 1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes with green chilies,chopped, 1 tsp.
- salt, 1/2 tsp.
- pepper.
- Wash the soup mix with water and soak overnight.
- Drain in the morning.
- Add beans to water,celery,onion,ham and garlic.
- Cover and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours,until beans are tender.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes,stirring occasionally.
- Makes 8-10 servings.
- This is good to put on the stove and let simmer all day long.

INGREDIENTS
- 6ouncesblack rice
- 8 1/2cupswater
- 5ouncessugar
- 2ouncesdried fruit, of your choosing

Coconut Cream
- 1cupcoconut milk(evaporated milk may be substitued in a pinch)
- 1pinchsalt
DIRECTIONS
- To prepare coconut cream, heat coconut milk and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until just boiling.
- Soak rice in water for at least 1 hour, then cook in saucepan over medium heat.
- If you have soaked your rice for an hour this should take about 10 minutes, if you soaked it longer, it will take less time and if you have soaked it for a shorter period it will take longer.
- At the end of the cooking, the rice should be soft, creamy and chewy.
- Stir in dried fruit and sugar and let cook for another 15 minutes, being careful not to burn.
- (You may want to reduce the heat at this point.) Serve hot or cold with coconut cream poured over the top.
- You may want to stir more before serving to get however creamy of a texture you would like from your mousse.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2lbsround steaks, cut into small cubes
- 2cups thickly choppedcarrots
- 1cup dicedcelery, leaves included
- 1largeonion, cut into small wedges
- 4quartswater
- beef bouillon
- 2tablespoonstomato paste
- salt and pepper
- 8ouncessmall shell pasta(such as orzo or acini di pepe)
- gratedItalian cheese(such as parmesan, romano or asiago)
DIRECTIONS
- Fill soup pot with water and place beef cubes in the pot.
- Heat on high until it comes to a boil, skim off scum that rises to the top, then lower heat to medium high, for about 45 minutes to an hour.
- Add beef bullion to taste, then all vegetables and tomato paste.
- Boil on medium, covered for an additional 30 minutes,or until veggies are tender.
- When veggies are tender, add salt and pepper to taste.
- In a separate saucepan, cook up small soup pasta until done.
- Drain,rinse and put back in small saucepan, to which you have added about a cup of the liquid from the soup pot.
- When you are ready to serve the soup in individual bowls, spoon in some pasta, ladle in the soup, then top with a generous amount of fresh or shredded sharp Italian cheese.

INGREDIENTS
- 1cupunsalted butter
- 2tablespoons finely choppedonions
- 2lbs cooked shelledcrab, shredded
- 1 1/4cupsmanchego cheese or gouda cheese, grated
- 1/2cupcream cheese
- 1/2cupdry white wine
- salt, to taste
- pepper (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- In melted butter, sautee onion until transparent.
- Add rest of the ingredients and cook until cheeses melt.
- Season to taste.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 regulartea bags
- 1quartwater
DIRECTIONS
- Bring the water to boil.
- Drop in the tea bags and allow to cool off.
- Dunk your feet in and allow to soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Do this two times a day until the problem goes away!
