Torta Pascualina (Argentine Spinach Pie) Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1pastry for double-crust pie(top & bottom)
  2. 1 1/2cupsfrozen spinach
  3. 1 choppedonion
  4. 1/4teaspoonnutmeg
  5. 1teaspoonoregano
  6. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  7. 2eggs, beaten
  8. 1cup gratedswiss cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place the bottom crust in your pie plate.
  3. Cook the spinach, drain it, and chop it finely.
  4. Saute the chopped onion in a little cooking spray.
  5. Mix together the spinach, the onion, and the rest of the ingredients.
  6. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  7. Add the top crust and seal.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

Oreo Crunch Bars Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 34Oreo cookies, divided
  2. 1/4cupbutteror margarine, melted
  3. 1 (7 1/2 ounce)jarmarshmallow creme
  4. 1/2cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
  5. 1/3cupwalnuts, chopped (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Coarsely chop 8 cookies; set aside.
  2. Finely crush remaining 26 cookies.
  3. Mix finely crushed cookies and butter in bowl.
  4. Press firmly in bottom of greased 8×8x2 inch or 9×9-inch baking pan.
  5. Place marshmallow creme over crust to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips, nuts and chopped cookies over marshmallow layer, pressing gently.
  7. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes or until marshmallow creme puffs slightly.
  8. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  9. Cut into triangles or squares to serve.

Ground Wheat Breakfast Cereal (Whole Foods) Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4cupswater, divided
  2. 1cup groundwheat
  3. salt, to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Mix together the extra 1 cup of water, ground wheat and salt.
  3. Add them to the boiling water, stirring contstantly while it thickens to avoid lumps.
  4. Reduce the heat and cook it for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Serve with milk or soy milk or honey or molasses.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Candy Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. Base

  2. 1cupmargarine, melted
  3. 1 1/2cupspeanut butter
  4. 1 1/2cupsgraham cracker crumbs
  5. 1boxconfectioners’ sugar
  6. Topping

  7. 1/2cuppeanut butter
  8. 1 (12 ounce)bagsemi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. Base: Melt margarine in bowl in microwave and add remaining base ingredients.
  2. Press into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Topping: Melt peanut butter and chocolate chips in microwave or top of double boiler.
  4. Stir until smooth.
  5. Spread over base and chill before cutting.

Cheesy Spaghetti Casserole Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2lbslean ground beef
  2. 1-2tablespoon gratedparmesan cheese
  3. 1-2clove fresh mincedgarlic (optional)
  4. 2 (8 ounce)canstomato sauce(seasoned or plain)
  5. salt and pepper
  6. 1cupcream-style cottage cheese
  7. 1 (8 ounce)packagecream cheese
  8. 1/4cupsour cream
  9. 1/3cup choppedscallionsor green onions
  10. 2tablespoonsgreen peppers, chopped
  11. 1 (7 ounce)packagespaghetti, cooked and tossed with oil
  12. 2-3tablespoonsbutter, melted
  13. 1-2cup gratedmozzarella cheese (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 2-qt casserole dish.
  3. Brown ground beef with 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, (and garlic, if using); drain off any fat.
  4. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper, cook and simmer over med-low heat for 25-30 mins; remove from heat.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, onions and green pepper.
  6. Spread half of the cooked and drained spaghetti in prepared casserole dish.
  7. Cover with the cheese mixture.
  8. Add remaining spaghetti, and drizzle the melted butter on top.
  9. Spread the tomato/meat sauce over the top of the spaghetti.
  10. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours, or overnight, to blend the flavors.
  11. Remove from the fridge 20 mins before baking.
  12. Bake for 45 mins, or until hot and bubbly.
  13. If desired top with 1-2 cups grated mozzeralla cheese the last 15 mins of baking.
