INGREDIENTS
- 1teaspoonolive oil
- 3cupssliced mushrooms
- 1cup choppedonions
- 1/2cup choppedcelery
- 1teaspoon mincedgarlic(or more, your choice)
- 1/2cup uncookedbarley
- 3cupsvegetable broth
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce)canwhite beans, drained
DIRECTIONS
- Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat, and stir in mushrooms, onion, celery, and garlic.
- Saute til tender.
- Mix barley and broth into saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat.
- Simmer 45- 50 minutes, til barley is tender.
- Stir white beans into barley mixture.
- Continue cooking about 5 minutes, til beans are heated.

INGREDIENTS
- 1lbItalian sausage, cut into 1/2 to 1 inch thick slices(any heat)
- 1green bell pepper(cored, seeded and sliced in thin strips)
- 1red bell pepper(cored, seeded and sliced in thin strips)
- 1yellow bell pepper(cored, seeded and sliced in thin strips)
- 2tablespoonsmargarine
- 1onion, sliced in thin wedges
- 1teaspoon texas petehot sauceor Frank’s red hot sauce
- 1/2teaspoonLawry’s Seasoned Salt
- pepper
- 4hoagie rolls
DIRECTIONS
- place margarine in nonstick frying pan and heat to med high.
- saute onion and bell pepper in margarine until coooked through and almost carmelized.
- remove peppers and onions with slotted spoon, set aside pour any remaing margarine out of pan.
- add sausage to the pan and season with lawry’s and pepper.
- cook over med-high heat until throughly cooked (no pink).
- return pepper/onion mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
- add hot sauce stir and cook 1 minute more.
- slice open and toast (if desired) sub rolls.
- fill sub rolls with sausage and vegies.
- Add condiments if desired.
- serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS
- 1lbground beef
- 2 (16 ounce)canspork and beans
- 1smallonion(chopped)
- 1/2green pepper(diced)
- 1/2cupbarbecue sauce
- 1/2cupcatsup
- 1/2cupbrown sugar(packed)
- 1teaspoonmustard powder
DIRECTIONS
- Brown the beef with the onions and peppers; drain off grease.
- Lightly spray a baking dish with Pam or your brand of spray.
- Mix meat, pork and beans, bbq sauce, catsup, brown sugar and mustard; combine well.
- Pour into casserole and bake at 375° for 20 to 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 (12 ounce)packagevanilla wafers, crushed
- 1 1/2cups finely choppednuts
- 3/4cupicing sugar(confectioners)
- 1/4cupbaking cocoa
- 1/2cuplight rum
- 3tablespoonslight corn syrup
DIRECTIONS
- In a large bowl, combine the crushed wafers, chopped nuts, 3/4 cup icing sugar and the cocoa; add/mix in rum and corn syrup.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll in the icing sugar.
- Store rum balls in an airtight container for 2-3 days to develop the flavors.
- Roll them again in icing sugar before serving.

INGREDIENTS
- 25gsemolina
- 250gjaggery
- thickcoconut milk, from 1 coconut
- 1cinnamon stick
- 1/4teaspoongreen cardamom powder
- 5dates, cut into small pieces and soaked in water
- 10cashews, chopped
DIRECTIONS
- Take half of the milk and add all the ingredients to it, except the semolina and cook well.
- When it starts boiling, add the semolina to it and continue to cook.
- When the semolina gets cooked, add the rest of the milk.
- Cook for 7-10 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
