Easy Ham Glaze Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1cuplight corn syrupor dark corn syrup
  2. 1/2cup firmly packedbrown sugar
  3. 3tablespoonsprepared mustard
  4. 1/2teaspoonground ginger
  5. 1dashground cloves

DIRECTIONS

  1. In 2-quart saucepan combine all ingredients.
  2. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat and boil 5 minutes.
  3. Brush frequently on ham during last 1/2 hour of baking.

AMAZING Sweet Italian Sausage Pasta Soup Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2lbssweet Italian turkey sausage(or other)
  2. 1mediumgreen pepper, chopped
  3. 1smallonion, chopped
  4. 2tablespoons mincedgarlic
  5. 8cupswater
  6. 28ouncesdiced tomatoes, undrained
  7. 1tablespoonsugar
  8. 1tablespoonworcestershire sauce
  9. 2teaspoonschicken bouillon granules
  10. 1teaspoonsalt
  11. 1teaspoondried basil
  12. 1teaspoondried thyme
  13. 1teaspoondried oregano
  14. 2 1/2cupsfarfalle pasta(bow tie, approx. 1/2 box)
  15. fresh-gratedmozzarella cheeseor parmesan cheese or romano cheese(or all)(optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Remove sausage casings& cut into 1/2″ pieces.
  2. In large kettle, cook sausage over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until no longer pink.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain, reserving 2 T.
  4. drippings in the pan.
  5. Saute pepper, onion and garlic 4-5 minutes or until tender.
  6. Add the water, tomatoes, sugar, Worcestershire, bouillon, salt, basil, thyme, oregano& sausage.
  7. Bring to a boil; add pasta.
  8. Reduce heat& simmer uncovered 18-22 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  9. Serve w/ grated cheese on top, if desired.

Fruit Cheese Tartlets Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (8 ounce)packagecream cheese, softened
  2. 1 (14 ounce)cansweetened condensed milk
  3. 1/3cuplemon juice concentrate
  4. 1teaspoonvanilla extract
  5. 24prepared tart shells(2 or 3-inch)
  6. mixed fruit(strawberries, blueberries, bananas, raspberries, orange segments, cherries, kiwi fruit, grapes or pi)
  7. 1/4cupapple jelly, melted

DIRECTIONS

  1. In large mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluffy.
  2. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and vanilla.
  4. Spoon equal portions into crusts.
  5. Top with fruit; brush with jelly.
  6. Chill 2 hours or until set.
  7. Refrigerate leftovers.

Waxie Pecan Bundt Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. Cake

  2. 1 1/2cupsflour
  3. 1lbbrown sugar
  4. 2teaspoonsbaking powder
  5. 2teaspoonssalt
  6. 6egg whites
  7. 1teaspoonvanilla
  8. 3cupspecans
  9. Icing

  10. 1/2cupbrown sugar
  11. 1/4cup meltedmargarine
  12. 2tablespoonsflour
  13. 2tablespoonswater
  14. 1/2cup choppednuts

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix and sift dry ingredients.
  2. Beat egg whites with vanilla until stiff but not dry.
  3. Mix well with dry ingredients.
  4. Add pecans.
  5. Bake in Bundt pan for 1 hour at 325 degress.
  6. Mix all ingredients for icing and pour over cake.
  7. Bake 5 minutes more.

Low-Fat Cornmeal Chicken With Fresh Peach Salsa Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2cupyellow cornmeal
  2. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  3. 1/4teaspoonpepper
  4. 4boneless skinless chicken breast halves(about 1 1/4 pounds)
  5. 2tablespoonsvegetable oil
  6. Fresh Peach Salsa

  7. 3cups chopped peeledpeaches
  8. 1largetomato, chopped(1 cup)
  9. 1/4cupfresh cilantro
  10. 3tablespoonsvegetable oil
  11. 2tablespoonswhite vinegar
  12. 1/4teaspoonsalt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare Fresh Peach Salsa.
  2. Mix all ingredients.
  3. Mix cornmeal, salt and pepper.
  4. Coat chicken with cornmeal mixture.
  5. Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook chicken in oil 15 to 20 minutes, turning once, until juice is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
  7. Serve with the peach salsa.
