INGREDIENTS

Sauce
- 1 (16 ounce)canstewed tomatoes
- 1/2cupbrown sugar
- 1/4cupvinegar
- 1teaspoonprepared mustard(I prefer Nance’s honey dijon)
- 1/3cup choppedgreen peppers
-
Meat
- 2lbsground beef
- 2eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2mediumonion, minced
- 3/4cupherb seasoned stuffing mix
- 3tablespoons preparedpasta sauce
- 1teaspoonsalt
- 1/2teaspoongarlic salt
- 1/2teaspoonpepper
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix together all sauce ingredients.
- Simmer until brown sugar dissolves.
- Combine meat loaf ingredients and pat into square baking dish.
- Pour 1/4 cup sauce over top of meat loaf.
- Cook, uncovered, for 1 hour.
- Heat the remaining sauce and serve with meat loaf.
- Serve meat loaf with egg noodles and a spinach and veggie salad.

INGREDIENTS
- 2largeeggs
- 1cupsugar
- 1cupflour
- 1/3cupbutter, melted
- 1 1/4cupsfresh cranberries
- 1/2cup choppedwalnuts
DIRECTIONS
- Heat oven to 350° and grease an 8-inch baking pan.
- Beat eggs in a medium mixing bowl until thick, gradually add sugar, beating until thoroughly blended; stir in flour and melted butter; blend well.
- Add cranberries and walnuts, mixing gently just until combined then spread mixture evenly in prepared pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and cut into bars.

INGREDIENTS

Pastry
- 3cupsflour
- 1 1/2teaspoonssalt
- 8-9tablespoonswater
- 1 1/2cupsvegetable shortening

Apple filling
- 6cupsapples, peeled,chopped
- 1teaspooncinnamon
- 12tablespoonssugar
-
Cinnamon Sauce
- 3cupswater
- 1dashsalt
- 1 1/2teaspoonscinnamon
- 1 1/2cupssugar
- 1/4cupbutter
DIRECTIONS
- For Pastry;Mix flour and salt, and cut shortening into flour until crumbly.
- Stir in water until completely moistened.
- Then from into 3 balls.
- Flatten each ball on lightly floured surface and roll to 1/8-inch thick.
- Cut each piece into four equal parts, making 12 pieces total.
- Apple filling; Mix cinnamon and sugar.
- on each pastry (12 total), place 1/2 cup chopped apples and 1 tablespoon cinnamon and sugar mixture.
- Bring edges of dough to center, and pinch edges together, Place all 12 dumplings in a 9×13-inch baking dish, Pinched side down.
- Cinnamon Sauce; Bring sauce ingredients to a boil and pour generously over dumplings.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, Then Reduce Heat to 350 degrees for an additional 40 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
- 1cup firmly packedlight brown sugar
- 1cupwater
- 2cinnamon sticks
- 12ladyfingers
DIRECTIONS
- Boil sugar, water, and cinnamon together about 10 minutes.
- Arrange ladyfingers in shallow dish.
- Pour syrup over and let stand for at least 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve hot.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.

- 1/2teaspoonhot pepper sauce
- 1lbliver, cut in small pieces
- 2tablespoonsbutteror margarine
- 1tablespoonfine dry breadcrumbs
- 3/4cup choppedsalted cashews
- 1/2cupwater
- hotcooked rice
DIRECTIONS
- Mix first 5 ingredients and set aside 15 minutes.
- Melt butter in skillet and add liver mixture, crumbs, nuts and water.
- Cover and simmer 20 minutes, or until liver is tender.
- Serve with rice.
- Makes 4 servings.
