Sausage-Apple Balls Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbbulk pork sausage
  2. 2cupsBisquick
  3. 1cupraisins, chopped
  4. 1cup grated unpeeledapples
  5. 1/2cup choppedwalnuts
  6. 1/2-3/4teaspoonapple pie spice

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients; stir to mix well.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. Place balls on an ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Denise Pierce’s Macadamia Lace Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4ouncesunsalted butter, cut into 5 pieces
  2. 4 1/2ounces finely chopped lightlysalted macadamia nuts(1 cup)
  3. 1cupgranulated sugar
  4. 1largeegg, lightly beaten
  5. 1teaspoonvanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract(I used the extract)
  6. 1/2teaspoontable salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 350-degrees.
  2. Line two or three large baking sheets with nonstick baking liners or parchment.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and then continue cooking it just until the butter solids at the bottom of the pan turn deep golden brown (NOT black), 5-7 minutes- watch the butter carefully.
  4. Immediately remove the pan from the heat and pour the butter into a small bowl, scraping the pan to get all the butter.
  5. Let cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
  6. Combine the chopped nuts, sugar, egg, vanilla, and salt in a medium bowl.
  7. Stir until blended.
  8. Slowly add the browned butter and continue stirring until blended.
  9. Drop the batter by slightly heaping teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  10. Bake until the cookies are golden brown, 6-8 minutes.
  11. Let the cookies cool on the sheets on racks for 5 minutes before transferring them to racks to cool completely.
  12. Repeat with remaining batter after sheets have cooled.
  13. Store at room temp or freeze in an airtight container, separating the cookie layers with waxed paper.

Fantastic Brownies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (14 ounce)packagevanilla caramels, unwraped
  2. 1 (14 ounce)cansweetened condensed milk
  3. 1packageGerman chocolate cake mix(2-layer size)
  4. 1/2cupbutter, melted
  5. 1cup choppedpecans
  6. 1cupsemisweet chocolate morsels

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a saucepan, add the caramels and 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk.
  2. Cook and stir constantly over low heat until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth; keep warm.
  3. In a big mixing bowl, add the cake mix, remaining sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
  4. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined.
  5. Add in pecans; stir to combine.
  6. Press 3 cups dough onto the bottom of a greased 13×9 inch baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  8. Take partially baked brownie from oven.
  9. Drizzle caramel mixture over the top.
  10. Sprinkle chocolate morsels over caramel.
  11. Crumble remaining dough evenly over the top.
  12. Bake for 15 more minutes (will puff while baking and fall during cooling).
  13. Let cool in the pan on a wire rack.

Pasta with Fresh Tomatoes and Basil Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3 ripetomatoes, seeded and chopped
  2. 2-3clovesgarlic, minced
  3. 2tablespoons choppedfresh parsley
  4. 2tablespoons choppedfresh basil
  5. 2tablespoonslemon juice
  6. 1/2teaspoonsugar
  7. salt and pepper
  8. 1/4cupolive oil
  9. 8ouncesangel hair pasta, cooked and drained
  10. 1/4cup refrigerated shreddedparmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large skillet, heat the 1/4 cup olive oil.
  2. Add the tomatoes, garlic, parsley, basil, lemon juice, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Saute, stirring constantly, until heated through.
  4. To serve: spoon tomato mixture over hot cooked angel hair pasta.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Tropical Apple Date Bread Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3cupsflour
  2. 1cupsugar
  3. 1tablespoonbaking powder
  4. 1 1/2teaspoonssalt
  5. 1cupflaked coconut, toasted
  6. 1 1/2cupsmilkor half-and-half
  7. 1egg, beaten
  8. 1teaspoonvanilla
  9. 1 (6 ounce)packagedried dates, diced
  10. 1cup finely choppedapples

DIRECTIONS

  1. set oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan, or mini loaf pans.
  3. Sift together, the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  4. Stir in coconut.
  5. Mix together the milk, egg and vanilla.
  6. Combine with the dry mixture.
  7. Mix in chopped dates and apples; mix well until combined.
  8. Spoon mixture into a prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
