Crumble Cookie Bars Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 1/2cupsflour
  2. 1teaspooncream of tartar
  3. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
  4. 3/4cupbrown sugar
  5. 1/2cupbutter flavor shortening(Crisco is good)
  6. 1egg, slightly beaten
  7. 3tablespoons siftedbaking cocoa
  8. 1teaspoonvanilla
  9. 1 1/2cupsicing sugar
  10. 3tablespoonsmilkor half-and-half
  11. 3tablespoonsbutter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Set oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Coat bottom and sides of an 8 x 8-inch square baking pan with soft butter (about 2 Tbsps).
  3. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except the icing sugar, cream and butter.
  4. Press three quarters of the mixture into the prepared baking pan. (if desired, sprinkle with tiny chocolate chips or nuts or both on top of the crust).
  5. In a saucepan, combine the powdered sugar, vanilla, milk (I like to use whipping cream in place of milk for a thicker texture) and the butter; until melted and combined.
  6. Pour the melted mixture over the crumbled mixture in the baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture (the mixture does not have to cover completely).
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Delicious Baked Chicken Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2cupwater
  2. 1/3cupvinegar
  3. 1/3cupketchup
  4. 1/4cupbrown sugar
  5. 4tablespoonsoil
  6. 2tablespoonslemon juice
  7. 2teaspoonssalt
  8. 2teaspoonspaprika
  9. 2teaspoonsmustard powder
  10. 2teaspoonschili powder
  11. 3-4lbs cut-upchicken pieces

DIRECTIONS

  1. Set oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the chicken.
  3. Pat the chicken pieces well with paper towels to dry.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking pan (big enough to hold the amout of chicken pieces that you are using).
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken pieces; turning well to coat.
  6. Cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 35 mins; uncover, baste with sauce.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes more, or until the chicken is cooked.

Ham Baked in Beer Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4-5lbsham
  2. 1cupmolassesor brown sugar
  3. 2teaspoonsdry mustard
  4. 1tablespoonpepper
  5. 1cupale
  6. 18-24wholecloves
  7. 1largeonion, cut in four
  8. 1carrot, cut in pieces
  9. 1stalkcelery, with leaves,chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Use a sharp knife to remove the skin from the ham.
  2. Score the fat diagonally and place a clove in each diamond.
  3. Set the ham in the middle of a sheet of heavy-duty aluminium foil.
  4. Place in a shallow dripping pan.
  5. Mix the molasses or brown sugar, dry mustard, pepper and the ale.
  6. Pour over the ham.
  7. Scatter the veggies around the ham and bring the foil to the top.
  8. Fold lightly and close the ends of the foil, sealing the ham inside.
  9. Bake in a 400 F oven for 16-18 minutes per pound.

Raspberry Chicken Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 1/2-3lbschickens(cut up)
  2. 1/2cupraspberry vinegar
  3. 1/2cupdry red wine
  4. 1/4cupsoy sauce
  5. 4-5clovesgarlic(finely chopped or minced)
  6. 1 1/2teaspoonsdried rosemary(crushed)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheaat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a baking dish place chicken pieces side by side skin side down.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
  4. Bake uncovered in a 375 degree F oven until the skin has browned, glazed and the flesh is tender-this should be about 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Turn chicken occasionally while baking.

Economy Beer Dip Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (3 ounce)packagecream cheese
  2. 1/4lbcottage cheese
  3. 1smallonion, finely diced
  4. 1teaspooncapers
  5. 1pinchcaraway seeds
  6. 1teaspoonpaprika
  7. 1teaspoonprepared mustard
  8. 1teaspoon gratedparmesan cheese
  9. 1/4cupbeer

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend all ingredients together thoroughly.
  2. Chill until ready to serve.
  3. If a softer dip is desired, add another 1/4 cup of beer.
