5 Layer Delicious Dessert Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1st layer

  2. 1/2cupflour
  3. 3/4cupbutteror margarine
  4. 1cupnuts(I use pecans)
  5. 2nd layer

  6. 9ouncesCool Whip
  7. 8ouncescream cheese, softened
  8. 1cuppowdered sugar
  9. 3rd layer

  10. 1container of comstockcherries
  11. 4th layer

  12. 1packageinstant vanilla pudding
  13. 1packagechocolate instant pudding
  14. 3 1/2cupsmilk
  15. 5th layer

  16. 9ouncesCool Whip
  17. 1Hershey Bar, grated

DIRECTIONS

  1. 1st layer: heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together (will be on the dry side) and use fingers to evenly pat down into the bottom of a baking dish about 9×13 size.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes to form crust.
  4. COOL before 2nd layer.
  5. 2nd layer: Mix all ingredients togther and put all on top of the crust.
  6. 3rd layer: Open can of Cherries and spread out over 2nd layer.
  7. 4th layer: Mix the 2 pudding boxes and the milk together and spread out over the cherries.
  8. 5th layer: Spread out the Cool Whip on top of the pudding mixture and grate the Hershey bar over the whole thing.
  9. Put the entire dish into the Fridge to set up.

Garlic Basil Bread Recipe

  1. Dump in Bread machine in order of manufactures recommendations or make the old fashioned way!

Chicken Caper Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 8ouncesboneless skinless chicken breasts
  2. 1 (14 1/2 ounce)canchopped tomatoes
  3. 1tablespooncapers
  4. 4green onions, sliced thin
  5. 12kalamata olives, pitted
  6. 2tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
  7. 2clovesgarlic, minced
  8. 4ouncesshell macaroni, cooked al dente
  9. salt
  10. red peppers

DIRECTIONS

  1. cut chicken into small bite sizes.
  2. combine olive oil, salt, red pepper and garlic in a small bowl, add chicken and marinate for one hour, turning occasoinally.
  3. put chicken and olive oil mixture in a large skillet and saute until thoroughly cooked.
  4. add tomatoes and capers, cover and cook for another 15 minutes.
  5. add green onions and Kalamata olives and cook for two more minutes.
  6. drain macaroni, put in a large bowl, add chicken/tomato mixture, mix well and serve.

Fresh Cranberry Relish Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1bag of wholefresh cranberries
  2. 3/4cupsugar
  3. 3/4cuporange marmalade
  4. 1tablespoonlemon juice
  5. 3/4cuppecans or walnuts(I toast them in the oven)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Put cranberries in baking dish and sprinkle with the sugar, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  2. Take out of the oven and mix in the pecans or walnuts and put back into the oven for 10 more minutes.
  3. Take out and mix in the orange marmalade and the lemon juice and it is ready to serve!
  4. ENJOY!

Strawberry Yogurt Pound Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 2teaspoonsbaking powder
  3. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  4. 1/2cupbutter, softened
  5. 1cupsugar
  6. 4eggs
  7. 1 (6 ounce)cartonnon-fat strawberry yogurt
  8. 1/4teaspoonalmond extract

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 325°.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, the baking powder and salt, set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl at medium speed, beat together the butter and the sugar until it’s light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs,the yogurt and extract until well blended.
  5. Reduce mixer speed to low.
  6. Add the flour mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, beating just until blended.
  7. Spread evenly in a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake in about 70 minutes,until cake tester inserted near center comes out clean.
  9. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove from pan and cool completely.
