Glazed Apple Cooky Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cups siftedall-purpose flour
  2. 1teaspoonbaking soda
  3. 1/2cup room temperatureshortening
  4. 1 1/3cups packedbrown sugar
  5. 1/2teaspoonsalt
  6. 1teaspooncinnamon
  7. 1teaspooncloves
  8. 1/2teaspoonnutmeg
  9. 1egg
  10. 1cup choppedwalnuts
  11. 1cup finely chopped unparedapples
  12. 1cupsultana raisins
  13. 1/4cupapple juiceor milk
  14. 1 1/2cupsicing sugar
  15. 1tablespoon meltedbutter
  16. 1/2teaspoonvanilla
  17. 1/8teaspoonsalt
  18. 2 1/2tablespoonsmilk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Sift flour with baking soda.
  3. Mix shortening, salt, sugar,and spices with the egg until well blended.
  4. Stir in half the flour mixture, add the nuts, apple, and raisins.
  5. Blend in the juice.
  6. Beat in the remaining flour mixture.
  7. Drop by rounded tsp.
  8. onto greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 11- 14 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove and place on a cooling rack.
  11. Make a glaze with the last ingredients, icing powder, salt, melted butter, and vanilla, and milk.
  12. When smooth, spread a thin layer over hot cookies.

Green Apple Tequini Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2ounces casa noble crystaltequila(Silver)
  2. 1ounceapple Schnapps
  3. 1dashMidori melon liqueur
  4. 1dashlime juice, fresh

DIRECTIONS

  1. Shake ingredients in mixing glass with ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
  2. Slice of Green Apple for garnish.

Greek-Style Mushrooms Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbbutton mushrooms
  2. 1cupwater
  3. 1/2cupolive oil
  4. 2tablespoonslemon juice
  5. 2clovesgarlic, minced
  6. 1tablespooncelery seeds
  7. 1tablespoonwhite vinegar
  8. 1bay leaf, crushed
  9. 1teaspoonsalt
  10. 1/4teaspoonfennel seeds
  11. 1/4teaspoonoregano
  12. 1/4teaspoonwhole black peppercorns, slightly crushed

DIRECTIONS

  1. Clean the mushrooms and remove just the soiled end of the stem.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients, except the mushrooms in a 2-quart microwave casserole or bowl.
  4. With the microwave on HIGH, cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  5. Remove from the microwave, and cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
  6. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in the mushrooms.
  8. Return to the microwave, uncovered, and cook on MEDIUM for 3 minutes.
  9. Stir every 60 seconds.
  10. Chill at least 24 hours before serving.
  11. To serve: Remove the mushrooms with a slotted spoon and place them on a bed of parsley or endive.

Deep Dish Pizza Quiche Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4ouncescream cheese, softened
  2. 4largeeggs
  3. 1/3cupheavy cream
  4. 1/4cupparmesan cheese
  5. 1/2teaspoonitalian seasoning
  6. 2cupspizza cheese, shredded
  7. 1/4teaspoongarlic powder
  8. 1/2cuppizza sauce(no sugar and low carb)
  9. 1cupmozzarella cheese, shredded

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat together cream cheese and eggs till smooth.
  2. Add cream, parmesan cheese and spices.
  3. Spray a 9-inch or larger glass baking dish with oil.
  4. Put the cups pizza cheese in dish and pour egg mixture over it.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until eggs are set.
  6. Spread on pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and favorite toppings.
  7. Bake until bubbly and browning.
  8. Let stand 10 minutes.
  9. Serve.

Chicken with Parsley Crumbs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 cut upchicken, about 3 lbs
  2. salt & freshly ground black pepper
  3. 1/3cupplain breadcrumbs
  4. 2tablespoons choppedfresh flat-leaf parsley
  5. 1clovegarlic, minced
  6. 2tablespoonsDijon mustard
  7. 1tablespoonolive oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken all over with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the pieces skin side up in a baking pan.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, combine the bread crumbs, parsley, garlic, oil, and salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl.
  6. Brush the chicken with the mustard.
  7. Sprinkle with the crumb mixture, patting it on so that it adheres.
  8. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes more, or until the juices run clear when the chicken is cut near the bone.
  9. Serve hot or cold.
