Apple Streusel Cheesecake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. CRUST

  2. 2cupsflour
  3. 1/2cupicing sugar
  4. 1teaspoonground ginger
  5. 1cup coldbutter
  6. FILLING

  7. 3 (250 g)packagescream cheese, softened
  8. 2/3cupsugar
  9. 1cupsour cream
  10. 1teaspoonvanilla
  11. 4eggs
  12. TOPPING

  13. 1/2cupbrown sugar
  14. 1/3cuprolled oats
  15. 1/3cupflour
  16. 1/4cup coldbutter
  17. 1/2teaspooncinnamon
  18. 3apples, peeled,cored and sliced into eighths

DIRECTIONS

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.
  2. For the crust: In a food processor, mix together flour, icing sugar and ginger.
  3. Using on/off motion, cut in butter until dough starts to come together in clumps.
  4. Using hands, press mixture evenly into bottom and up sides of a 10-inch springform pan.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Using a fork, prick bottom all over.
  7. Bake in oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on rack.
  9. For filling: In bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until fluffy.
  10. Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
  11. Beat in eggs 1 at a time, until well combined.
  12. Pour into cooled crust.
  13. Bake in 300 degree oven for 45 minutes, or until center is just slightly wobbly and indented.
  14. Transfer to rack.
  15. For topping: Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together sugar, rolled oats, flour, 3 tbsp of the butter, and cinnamon until crumbly; set aside.
  16. In a large skillet, melt remaining butter over medium-high heat; cook apples, turning once, for about 5 minutes or until golden brown, and slightly softened.
  17. Arrange apples and any pan juices decoratively over cake.
  18. Sprinkle with rolled oats mixture.
  19. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  20. Transfer cake to rack; let cool to room temperature.
  21. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight.

Crunchy-Topped Cod Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 4 (4 ounce)cod fish fillets, about,skinned
  2. 2tomatoes, sliced
  3. 1cup freshwhole wheat bread crumbs
  4. 2tablespoons choppedfresh parsley
  5. 1teaspoonsunflower oil
  6. 1/2lemon, zest and juice of,finely grated
  7. salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Arrange the cod fillets in a wide ovenproof dish.
  3. Arrange the tomato slices on top.
  4. Mix the bread crumbs, fresh parsley, oil, lemon zest and juice.
  5. Season to taste.
  6. Spoon the crumb mixture evenly over the fish, then bake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Serve.

Garlic Baked Tomatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3tablespoonsunsalted butter
  2. 1clovegarlic, crushed
  3. 1teaspoon finely gratedorange zest
  4. 2largebeefsteak tomatoes or4firmplum tomatoes
  5. salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Soften the butter and blend with the crushed garlic, grated orange zest and seasoning.
  2. Chill for a few minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400.
  4. Cut the tomatoes in half crosswise.
  5. Place the tomatoes in an ovenproof dish and spread the butter equally over each tomato half.
  6. Bake the tomatoes for 15-25 minutes, depending on the size of the tomato halves, until just tender.
  7. Serve.

Traditional Deviled Eggs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6hard-boiled eggs, peeled halved lengthwise
  2. 1/4cupmayonnaise, low-fat okay
  3. 1tablespoonprepared mustard
  4. 1/2teaspoonwhite vinegar
  5. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  6. 1tablespoonsugar
  7. paprika(to garnish)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Scoop egg yolks into bowl.
  2. Set aside egg whites.
  3. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper to yolks.
  4. Mash together with fork until smooth.
  5. Spoon mixture into egg white halves.
  6. Sprinkle tops with paprika,.

Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2cupselbow macaroni(7 oz)
  2. 5tablespoonsbutter
  3. 1/4cupflour
  4. 2cupsmilk
  5. 1cupsharp cheddar cheese, grated(4oz)
  6. salt and pepper
  7. 8ouncesVelveeta cheese, cubed
  8. 1/2cup crumbledcrackers, for topping

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and butter a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  2. Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water until just tender.
  3. Drain it while you prepare the cream sauce.
  4. In a large saucepan, melt 4 tbs of butter, then whisk in the flour and add the milk.
  5. Stir the mixture until it thickens, then add the cheddar cheese and stir it in until it melts, Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cut the Velveeta into 1/2 inch cubes and stir it into the white sauce, but do not allow it to melt completely.
  7. Place the drained macaroni in the prepared baking dish, pour the cheese sauce over it, and stir gently to mix.
  8. Sprinkle the crumbled crackers generously over the top and dot with the remaining butter.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until browned and bubbly.
